The Ducks are completely unsustainable. I'm surprised they've been able to keep that horseshoe stuck up you know where for as long as they have.

Here's the Ducks zone usage & possession numbers (corsi is color, time on ice is the circle size):

Here's the Sharks:

Notice a problem with the Ducks? They have the highest score close PDO in the league at 103.9. Second is the Avs (103.1) who are slowly coming back to earth after their rocket start. Considering the Sharks have a weaker schedule to finish the year and some important bodies coming back, we have a good chance to still take the division, IMO.

The Hodgson trade gutted their depth scoring and might have been the biggest blunder of all. Until they traded him, they had superior depth at forward than the Sharks. Since then, well, you know.

The Sharks are a bunch of subtle trolls for the most part (Torres excluded). It's not typical in-your-face goonery so it tends to fly under the radar and not be easily noticed. Chicago kinda does the same thing but with some more borderline cheap shots (although no one on the Sharks is as much of a punk as Shaw).

Think about how many people Vlasic has ticked off recently by just suffocating them in the corners? Or slashing. That too.

Sharks are the anti-Hawks. They never get luck goals like they do

I've been being facetious in other threads saying Shanahan isn't suspending players this month, but now i'm convinced.

Marchand just scored the most amazing shorty on the Kings! Awesome.

Sorry for poor video, I'm sure there will be better up later.

Good game between the Kings and Bruins. 4 minutes left. Hopefully the B's can hang on.

I think the guy's got a lizard brain. Hit his head twice, once on the ice and then on the boards, and didn't look any different. Same monotone stare.

Thanks Boston

Yep. Rask wouldn't have even given up a rebound if a shark shot that.

Don't criticize it. That is the best line in the league. #Grit #Toughness #Heart

For those interested, Del Zotto is having a pretty bad game so far.

Jackets are REALLY good.

The two Ryans are going to be superstars, Johansen and Murray.

Murray is so, so good.

Oh….Brown sucked. Totally invisible. Can't believe he's an Olympian.

Seriously, I feel like no one's noticing it either... I feel like the Jackets' Champion or something with how much I have to argue against people on behalf of Johansen and Murray on the main boards. Two of my favorite players in the game, along with Dubinsky, Anisimov, and Atkinson. And while I don't think much of Johnson on the ice, I really like him off the ice. Jackets are an easy team to have as your second or third favorite (as I don't want to discount the suffering of the die-hards). Young, fun, hard-working, and have more talent than you'd think.

Dustin Brown going to Sochi over Ryan, Saad, or Okposo is an absolute joke. I can't believe I have to root for that turd.

Still can't believe the Oilers took Yakupov and not Murray. Its even more shocking that every scout they had said Murray was the pick. Yak will be a good player but I don't see it happening in Edmonton.

Jackets are easily my 2nd favorite, moving here 7 years ago will do that. Dubi has been my favorite non-Sharks for a few years now.

Have a partial plan, dammit I want playoff tickets!

They are good, young, fast and they have Bob in net. When Gaborik is back, they will run out

Umberger-RyJo-Foligno
Calvert-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Gabby-Anisimov-Horton
Jenner-Letetsu-MacKenzie

Those are 3 legit scoring lines and a fantastic 4th line.
