Ice actually looks pretty good in LA. Better than the winter classic IMO

Pretty bad camera angle though. The rink looks so narrow...

Also I don't know if this is a live organist or not, but if it is they're amazing.

Yeah he was on the Conan O'Brien show this week and was really well spoken. Definitely need him involved somehow

My dad just brought up having an outdoor game on an actual river. Laughed at first then started thinking if it would ever be possible. Some spot with a big river bank that a lot of people could sit by? Now THAT would be a awesome game

Jagr just got a nice assist on a PP goal in the NYR - Devils outdoor game, and passes Lemieux on the all time scoring list.

Lol....I changed the channel as soon as PJ appeared on the screen. I also didn't want to wait for Healy's smug mug to appear.

Probably too many variables with ice.

They should just give Healy his own show where he can tell us all the stories about how he watched Mike Richter take on the New Jersey Devils in the playoffs.

His BOBROVSKY yell last night just proved how big of a ****** he is. Can't come up with his own material.

That's what I figured, but it would be so cool to watch an actual NHL pond hockey game.

As awesome as it would be, I don't see it being feasable. Would be cool to do a game on the Rideau Canal. An old timers game around the ASG, perhaps?

The Rangers Devils game is by far the most entertaining I've seen.

Agreed. Next season Sportsnet broadcast is actually looking good right now. Healy and PJ Stock are such a waste of airtime, hopefully Sportsnet doesn't hand out any renewal contracts.

Was at the Oilers and Preds game last night and Scribbles was solid. Many a chant of "We want Dubnyk!"

Based on Nashvilles play I think we have a good chance at taking this one by a large margin, Edmonton danced around them.

Colorado wins, and our Jets now have a 9% chance of making the playoffs! Dare to dream.

Bit of a snoozer going on in the Kings - Sharks game. There's 7 minutes left in the second, and both teams have combined for 17 shots total. 6 from the Sharks, 11 from the Kings.

9.7% if Edmonton finds a way to beat Vancouver.

Why do you think the Rideau Canal would be more feasible than on the Assiniboine?

Because the Rideau Canal is skated on year round. Assiniboine not so much

If this is true, I didn't know that. So in the summertime, obviously yes, no arguments there. In the winter, well, it's pretty fair game.

Meant in the winter not year round

The Rideau Canal would be better to play hockey on. Assiniboine not so much.

For what it's worth, there's a pretty nice hockey rink on the Assiniboine every year, in the Wolsely area. There doesn't seem to be any problem with it, whatsoever.

What would be wrong with the Assiniboine for hockey? Are you simply referring to the cold?
