Does Thomas start? He's started in 8 straight now, should get a break. Back-to-back games so it's a question of which one he sits. I think he should sit against the Pens to keep him fresh for the long run down the stretch. Last game against the Pens he got pulled after allowing 4 goals on 13 shots.

I can't wait to see how pathetic our PP looks compared to theirs.

Yeah I was gonna say he got pulled vs the pens last time so I'd sit him in this one. We will see what happens though. He will definitely get one of these next two off.

I'd think that would light Thomas' fire. 99.9% he starts.

Somewhat looking forward to this game. Fleischmann won't be on the point on the PP and Horachek has apparently begged for desperation.

Seems like we lack confidence, maybe Horacheck should hammer this message into their heads before playing the big, bad Pens.

If Clemmensen starts, it'd probably be against Buffalo. We'd be better of starting Thomas vs. the Penguins where it'd be a tougher battle (despite how we almost lost to Buffalo a couple weeks ago).

"@hfialkov: Dale Tallon says report on Trocheck and Hauser are good after car accident. Horachek indicates Winchesters return for Monday. #FlaPanthers"

If Winchester does return who goes down? Mottau? Maybe even Hayes?

Have to think Hayes. Shore is too valuable on the PK.

Tallon should just have us coach the Panthers. All coaching decisions would be made via poll. It's pretty apparent that we as a group figure things out way ahead of whoever is currently the coach. Would save money too! Why do you need a coach to spend time, day in and day out, with your players? You can get better coaching from fans watching players for 60 minutes at a time a few times a week.

You're not invited to coach the Panthers.

I hope Neal misses this game.

Amazing how well the Penguins are doing with all those injuries, but again, long as they even Crosby OR Malkin, they're dangerous, they are game changers.

I can't see the Panthers coming close to breaking through with their PP against the best PK in the NHL. Obviously it's bad that we're facing the best PP, too, but I feel the PK has definitely been on the rise and improved a lot. I mean we have more chances on that than on the PP.

Honestly, I think it would make more sense to play Clem today and Thomas tomorrow. There's very little chance of winning this and way more likely to win tomorrow. Besides, Thomas needs the break.

Agreed. Any indications on who's starting yet?

No I believe today was an optional skate, but when I don't know, I have to assume the starting goaltender. Much like I have my doubts the Pens play Fleury against us but I don't know.

I suspect the late boarding by Staal vs the Canes.

Somehow Mottau is on IR?? I guess he got injured from being scratched too much.

Shore and Winchester on the PK makes me feel good. We will need it vs the Pens.

I actually think that's good, i dont think it would matter who start this game, hard to see us get any point tbh, so better to have Thomas tomorrow vs sabres, thats a game we should win, but might be though since we are coming from a back to back and i rather get 2 points out of this back to back then 0.
