Do they have a song by the name of:

"DIE YOU S.O.B.!"?

I hope so, that'd be a good song for JFJ.

Brilliant move!

In related news, Mats Sundin has checked into a mental hospital just north of Stockholm due to acute severe depression. (Or he's asked for a trade, whichever is more likely is up to you)

Toronto needed a superstar RW to play on their 2nd line. That is why they signed Domi for the amount that they did.

Brutal. I still have faith in JFJ but this was not the signing I was hoping or expecting to hear. Hopefully he has some sort of plan in the works.

Dude why are you even talking? 35 years without a cup for you guys.

I've never understood this argument from Canucks fans.

The only Canadian teams that have the right to even make that joke are the Habs, Oilers, and Flames.

Since they've won cups within the last 20 years.

Sense havent even been in the league for 20 years so they shouldn't talk..

Although the future looks promising for them.

What he hell is everyone complaining about another team was offering 1.5 million for him over three years. I appreicate Domi's loyalty and he is worth the 1.2 million. Dan Mcgillis getting 4 million was the worst signing today.

Hilarious joke. Really, gets better with age. For the record, it's Yonge (third time's the charm, maybe?).

I don't give a hoot who was offering what. The fact is, we have 12.5% of our free agent money spent on an aging enforcer and we locked him up for two years. That $1.25 million could have easily been better invested in another FA signing that would make the team better, whereas the re-addition of Domi does so, perhaps marginally.

I hate Don Cherry. The bigger the smile on that biggot's face, the sourer the expression on mine.

please, you're just envious of his snappy dressing and sweet goatee

Seriously though, this is madness. While Domi is useful (he played quite well in the playoffs actually, despite having no stick skills to speak of), he certainly isn't worth this much. Then again, they probably make it all back in jersey sales every season, so what can you do...

Can we please quit it with the Leaf jokes?

Bad price for Domi, but it fills a hole.

Tie's not going to pot a lot of goals but he can do his job of grinding.

he's good in the corners at controlling the puck.

at that price sucks and JFJ should have walked away but

I'm not even going to try, people act like they spent the entire salary of the teachers on Tie.

I'm just sick of these Leaf jokes in every single damn thread what happened to the "ZERO TOLLERENCE POLICY!"?

Even after the 24% rollback, it's actually a reduction in salary for Domi as compared to his last contract. And hey, if Andre Roy is worth a million a year, Domi sounds like a steal.

good signing...

he's great at what he does... and took far less money than he would have demanded elsewhere. If andre roy is worth 1million then domi is definately worth 1.25.

change the word Goon to player and it sounds like a new Leafs team to me LOLZ!

What's your point AH?

I think Domi won't be doing much more fighting, Perrott or Belak will, Domi's job is to grind for 10 minutes a night.

he can do that job, love him or hate him he's strong down low on the puck, and he uses that skill on the PK too, I've seen plenty of times when he's kept control of the puck despite multiple players trying to dig it out and away from him.

Lord knows I wish he'd drop the gloves less, and he just might have to this year.

I don't even care if he pots goals.

as long as he can crash, bang, dig in the corners and forecheck for 10 minutes a night I'm a happy man.

if his role is to enforce then I'll be sad.

Everyone seems to be forgetting one thing, this is a business!!!! The Teacher's Pension could care less if the Leafs win the cup, all their concerned about is the $$$. So sure Domi is only worth about 1 mil as a player, BUT what many of you fail to recognize is that he brings in more money for the team than any other player. The Leafs sell more Domi jerseys than of any other player!!! So that extra 0.25 is for the jersey sales.
