I'm not sure why this is a shocker... hell I'm surprised they lasted this long. SF was the worst city for this team and the only reason they survived was due to the NHL lockout.

I agree with somebody else who said they really should have been based in the Sacramento area.

The ECHL isn't my beat, but there are more than whispers from those in the know that the Bulls have folded.

It's official. The Bulls have folded. I just received an email from my ticket rep. God. Damnit.

So how does that situation work? Do you get money back or any other kind of compensation or is it just a giant "**** you"?

Depends on how they folded. (Chapter 11 or whatever)

It maybe STH are SOL. Or there may be a (partial) refund. (As a class, they are definitely one of the organization's creditors.)

Season ticket holders have until the end of February to "request" their money back. At least that's how it works with partial-season tickets and game packs.

The worst part? The Bulls folded before I could complete my bobblehead collection. They should have started with Rawhide... instead we're all stuck with Pat Curcio and cowbells.

Glad I got to take in a few games, even a 7-0 loss. Sucks for overall hockey culture in California, though.

Haha I know! I now I'll just have Curcio and Oullett sitting there, waiting for Rawhide.

I wonder if they would consider giving STH access to some game worn/game issued jerseys for reasonable prices...

SFBulls of ECHL fold. #SJSharks say five prospects there now will be reassigned in near future.

Well this sucks. I'm really surprised that someone would buy an ECHL team without having enough capital to expect to make basically zero dollars the first several seasons. Can they still work on negotiating a sale that could restart the team next year, or are they done for good now?

The major problem of having a minor league hockey team in a major city like SF is the players don't exactly make the kind of money that they do in the pros. Trying to live in the Bay Area, let alone in SF, is a difficult task to say the least and something extremely expensive if the team tries to take care of it.

I'd be really shocked if a minor league team tries to start up in SF again given these issues. We'll probably see one in the East Bay or back in the Central Valley again before that.

My "wild guess" is it will be the Colorado Eagles...

No one will buy a team that's more in debt than what an expansion franchise costs...

It's really sad it didn't work out. I was hoping there would be one more home game as a farewell. I'm wearing my Bulls cap to the game tonight.

Pollak lists them as JP Anderson, Bigos, Brace, Stalberg and Steven Tarasuk. Why is Tarasuk on that list?

Disappointing news, really. Hoped they'd work out a lot better.
