I think we should of went for Roenick if LA got him for "future considerations" aka nothing.

Too much money for him, though. Wasn't it somewhere in the ballpark of $4.9 million?

Ouch

In any case, he reportedly said it was the Kings or Coyotes or no trade at all.

I have a bad feeling that Keenan is done for now myself. Be right back, I need to throw up. This isn't what I thought would happen at all, but that familiar feeling is back in my stomach again. Blech.

I'll be honest with you. If Keenan can sign Hamrlik, then I'd say this summer has been more successful than I predicted it to be.

The way I hear it, Hamrlik, while a solid defenseman, has character issues and is not a team first type of guy. I think I'd rather trade for someone without the baggage.

Was pondering this yesterday, what are your thoughts on maybe acquiring Jovocop back? It's rumored that Vancouver wants to sign Hammer, so maybe Special Ed will be available since I believe he becomes unrestricted next summer? I think if he became unrestricted next summer, he would sign here anyway.

There are always those former 2nd/3rd pairing Panther defensemen: Woolley, Warrener, & Majesky that are UFA's, right? I seriously doubt we're going to sign or trade for any big name on D, especially after Keenan's comment in the Palm Beach Post.

I got that bad feeling now too.. Bouw, Luongo or Horton to be dealt within days. Most likely an washed up Keenan favorite who makes alot money and we could signed similar player with more upside without losing anyone thrue UFA

I'm pretty pessimistic, but I'm not THAT bad. Seriously, I do have some confidence in Keenan not to do something that stupid. I'm positive nothing like that will happen.

Doesn't Weiss have to be re-signed? Keenan never liked him much, he's probably trying to low ball the offer - 2 way contract and league minimum. And now he was the power to trade him...

...oh, wait...no trade could be THAT bad - that's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of trade.

Maybe it'll be another trade the superstar winger for a defenseman that won't fit in the system, a defensive prospect that won't work out, and a high first round draft pick that will be wasted on a European whose skills will abandon him in the minors...that kind of trade...

At least, given the empty roster, we know it won't be a trade all your top scorers and team leaders for draft picks kind of trade.

Y'know...every Panthers GM has sucked at acquiring proven players except for Bobby Clarke. What the h-e-double hockey sticks?!!?

Ahhhh don't remind me of that deal, that still haunts to me this day I knew that was brutal from the first time I heard it on RED DEER NEWS ( I am not from there by the way).I just remember it like it was yesterday

Warrener is a restricted free agent, who was qualified. Wooley can't play defense for the life of him. He makes Andy Delmore and Gonchar look like stay-at-home bone crushers in comparison. And I highly doubt Keenan will go get Majesky, as he was a Dudley guy. Just a hunch non the end there.
