Semi-Annual Prospect Poll: #24 NYR Prospect

C Steven Fogarty won round 23 and is replaced by a fellow centerman Kyle Jean in the poll.

Please write who you want added to the poll, and give a reason for it. This makes the discussion here more lively.

WHO IS A PROSPECT: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/whatmakesaprospect

HOW TO RANK PROSPECTS: Based on their value in a hypothetical trade or waiver draft. This takes into consideration a prospect's ceiling, how close he's to making it, his health, work ethic, the whole deal. Imagine there was a prospect waiver draft and you could keep only one prospect. That guy is our #1 prospect. Then imagine we had one more waiver protection. That guy is our #2 prospect.

Going with Hughes because he's a quality AHLer at the age of 21. Plays a simple game and has good size (6-1 220), so it's not out of the question that he becomes an NHLer.

Add Nicholls as our final player to be added. Why? Because Missiaen and Wilson are too much of a disaster. At this point, you are just picking the least bad option, not looking for anything special.

I think at this point, it's becoming a coin toss.
I will go with Hughes.

Edit: Oops, wrong poll

Hughes.

Missiaen and Wilson are terrible. Nicholls also sucks, but I guess he still has some potential. Add him.

FWIW Missiaen is now playing pretty well in Greenville. That's his level at least for now.

Yeah, the past two times he's been down there, it's been a brief but successful stint. He seems to have that level mastered. Why he's so terrible in the AHL is a bit hard to understand.
