I'd say they were the better team overall, a weak call and lucky goal on the PP, and then a realllly weak one there...

The D and Mason have been complete garbage. This is exactly why I didn't like that they signed him to an extension already. They should have waited.

Not only was Mez not incredible in his own zone he was horrid. If you think the benching was the result of his one turnover or one bad play I would like to know which one, cause there's plenty to chose from.

Do these refs plan on calling any of the blatant penalties the Bruins are committing? Or just weak ones against us?
Not trying to piss you off more since we're all pissed with this team now, but I rarely blame reffing for losses (assuming this is one, we'll see) and this isn't a time I would either.

Giroux call was a tad weak, but Giroux should have been more aware of his stick since he knows stuff like that gets called on occasion. Two penalties to start the game against (neither of which were egregious), bad Couturier attempted clear, unfortunate positioning by Coburn, and a weak goal by our goalie (yet again) is why we're down.

The second goal was at ES and the first one had plenty of reasons that had nothing to do with the refs. We're also only one period in with only two calls against and Berube shows as much emotion as a bag of waffles.

Just watch.
I hate *****ing about penalties... but it does happen so often. The count will be like 5-1 or 4-1 then they even it up near the end..

The Flyers are undisciplined though. But the rep the team has, and has had for almost all of eternity does not help.

Grossmann was playing well above his ability for the first two months of the season. It's not shocking to see him crashing and burning. He's a third pair defenseman on any contender in this league. Kind of fits the pattern for for every other defenseman on the roster.

This is the NHL anymore. They'll call it "keeping the game under control", but we all know what it really is.

The forwards are good, but this team has the hail-damaged backend of Miley Cyrus.

What an embarrassing period. This game has blow out written all over it. They look like the same lethargic group from earlier in the year.

I also feel like they slump around this Carnival every year...always seems to be a distraction.

Hockey players in general don't have bad taste. I've noticed this. Oh how I've noticed this.

Team actually doesn't look bad. Mason just kind of killed us with a weak one at the end there.

Now we get to hear CSN hype the almighty **** out of the carnival. I get that it's for a good cause, but it's lame as hell for anyone over the age of twelve, and ungodly expensive.

Oh no, I'm not blaming the refs for this or our recent losses. I personally think the call on Giroux was bad, but I would blame that much more on Couturier for a horrible failed clear and bad luck on Coburn. The 2nd goal had zero to do with the refs and a lot to do with bad D and goaltending.

I'm just saying that there were a couple of fairly blatant calls that should have been penalties and who knows if that could have impacted the game. But that's not an excuse for the teams problems right now.

Finnish? His wiki says that's where he spent the lockout season. Just wondering if a european can confirm the accent.

Just a correction to my previous post. Berube probably has less emotion then a bag of waffles.

This game isn't over, with the way they're playing offensively so far and how well they played with the exception of those two goals, there is certainly a chance for a comeback here.

The Good: Having almost the whole weekend still left. A few more goals against in the 2nd would mean an even earlier start than planned.
