Disagree with L Schenn, true, Mez hasn't helped him one bit; but Schenn has looked terrible in his own end (where he is suppose to thrive) and had poor play in general.
He was solid with Gus this year and last, he was also good with Kimmo. He's struggled with Streit and Mez, the guys who don't take care of their own end first. I'm not saying he hasn't struggled or that everything was on Mez but when he's playing with Gus/Kimmo he's a different player. And that player is something this team needs right now which is a solid defensive d-man considering Grossmann has struggled mightily recently.
I'm bored of this team. Not even kidding. It's not exciting to watch them right now and hasn't been for the entirety of the past year. Blow it up. If we sneak the play-offs we'll bomb out quickly and it pains me to ask what the point of that is.
Blow it up. Trade everyone who isn't Mason, Giroux, Voracek or Simmonds. We might only get a bag of magic beans back for the rest but we've got to try. We're going nowhere right now, just meandering through the fields of mediocrity.
I feel you. I'm not being hyperbolic at all when I say that even when the Flyers score, I just twirl my finger. It's something about the way they play hockey. I find them very hard to root for with the exception of Read, Simmer, and Kimmo.
Not a talent evaluation or a statement about the trades, but I don't think I've liked this team A LOT, since Richards was traded and Pronger went down. The Pronger loss was a nuclear bomb.
