You hate school, want to avoid it, and purposely chose a song that would put you back to sleep?

How does it put you to sleep?

"We don't need no education" is a great line to wake up to in the morning.

R u dum?

It's definitely their best.

The Wall
Animals
DSOTM
Wish You Were Here

Every single one of those albums is perfect, though.

If they would just really pick it up every once in a while.

Also, I don't like Nirvana. I don't like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel...

Seems I don't like a lot things that are very popular.

The pacing of that song is brutal. And I'm not talking about the BPM.

For a very long time, it was Megadeth. I'm kinda not in a phase of thinking about music that way anymore though. I can tell you that my top-5 albums of all-time are, in no order:

Foo Fighers - The Colour and Shape
Toadies - Rubberneck
Soilwork - Stabbing the Drama
Megadeth - Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?
North Mississippi All Stars - Hill Country Revue

Well I know Megadeth, and I know the Foo Fighters (a band I really like).

What type of music would you describe the others as?

I love Queen. I like Bowie.

In fact, I like music from nearly every genre there is, with the exception of country pop. I'm just very particular about which bands I happen to like in the genre.

Soilwork is "Melodic Swedish Death Metal"... came out of the same scene as In Flames, if you're familiar with them.

Toadies is post-grunge Alternative. Think a vastly better version of Bush (at least that album was).

North Mississippi All-Stars is a sort of mix of Delta Blues and Rock leaning heavily on the Blues side.

Bruce Springsteen is garbage. Bruce Dickinson is the only Bruce.

Usually, the best music is the music that isn't on the radio.

My favorite concept albums are Metropolis Part 2: SFAM and Operation: Mindcrime.

Hill Country Revue has a bunch of reworked RL Burnside songs in addition to their own stuff. It's pretty great. Live at Bonnaroo!
