I see Carter hasnt changed.

4 players in front of him, still tries to force the shot through them all instead of looking to make a play

I agree, but I understand the logic of having him on the team given that no one really had chemsitry with Crosby in 2010.

Having him on the powerplay defies logic.

All I know is that watching Nichushkin today made me irritated over that Flyers meaningless streak last year. Also seeing JVR was another bitter pill.

The Flyers weren't going to pick him even if he was available. He was like 20th on their draft board.

People whining about players the Flyers wouldn't have taken anyway irritates me.

Sportsnet just reported that Zetterberg is out of the Olympics.

Herniated disc in his back.

Carter did a pretty good Dupuis impression that period, if Dupuis was ever slow and lazy in a game.

Carter just lost a battle on the wall with a 5'6 guy. That really shouldn't happen.

Team Canada has one strong group of d-men on their team so it'll be hard for team USA to get past their d-men. On the other hand the forwards on team Canada do look quite average. I still don't understand how Kunitz made the team and then he still plays like an idiot out there.

With that being said idk whether to wake up at 3am to watch Czech or just tape it. hmmmm live tv is always better. You gotta be rooting for Voracek and Jagr out there.

He is going to be a good player regardless and it is actually irritating the Flyers had him ranked so low..Dallas has a good one.

It's crazy. Not bad having Malkin and Semin on your second power play unit

I'm not expert, but I'm pretty sure letting Kovalchuk idly cruise into the slot, then give him all the time in the world to handle a pass, control, and shoot is not a good strategy.

Yeah, their forward core looks incredible, and their goal tending is pretty solid. But their possession game looks a bit weak today, at least at times. Probably just a case of phoning it in a bit, with the lopsided matchup.

Canada's defense looked scary as hell today, but I just couldn't get over seeing Kunitz and Carter on that top line. Maybe I'm horribly biased but I can't help but think that Giroux would've looked so much better.

Quick is a little shaky to me, would go with Miller on Saturday.

I felt that way as well. Every time the puck was in our zone I was nervous it would end up in the back of the net

At least nine other teams had him ranked that low too.

the Flyers have very little prospect depth on the wings so I would of not been disappointed if the Flyers selected Nichushkin.
