Quick starting for the US tomorrow, kind of surprised with that decision.

I know Miller was the hero in 2010, but Quick is clearly the better option. I like his athleticism on the big ice where he's gonna see a lot of cross ice shots.

That could be good for our Wild Card chase, it would be great if Detroit did not make the playoffs.

Yeah, I thought Detroit was going to make a mockery of the East.

The West is so much better they probably caught the east disease of being awful when they switched over

Any of my euro friends have any sort of knowledge of Lars Haugen?

New Olympic drinking game------take a drink everytime Pierre McGuire says "Eddie".

Everyone would be hammered after the first period.

Everytime he opens his mouth.....Eddie...hey Eddie ...Eddie ...Eddie

I have seen him a few times in KHL games.

but he is a Goalie.

I kind of trust my opinion on skaters... but I have no clue with goalies!

His stats are quite nice though.

Sharp and Hamhuis scratched for Canada in favour of Duchene and Subban.

More of the same questions I have regarding potential NHL future. He is still 26 years old and his KHL numbers look very good. I wonder if he's ever been offered a deal in NA?

Going into the games, I always thought Quick was going to get the hardest competition. This game happens to be game number two, so the coaching had to give him game one as a warm-up of sorts. Miller will get Slovenia, and then coaching will probably go back to Quick.

well in their defense they have been decimated with injuries and they are still hanging in there. Zetterberg,Datsyuk, Franzen. both goaltenders.
imagine the Flyers losing Giroux, Simmonds, Hartnell, Couturier, Mason, Emery due to injuries. where would the Flyers be?
not in playoff position. that is for sure.

as much as we all hate Crosby I really doubt that has anything to do with it. does Giroux deserve to be on the team? sure. but there is little to no chance its because of Crosby.

Raffl's line looks great. Luongo just made a nice save on Raffl.

Doughty!

St. Louis up with Crosby. Carter has played on a couple of different lines already.

Nah, he was playing in the Norwegian leagues... which hockeydb for some reason does not acknowledge exist!

I only know as I half follow Frisk-Asker in Norway. Though eliteprospects has his Norwegian stats when i just looked.

the guy who runs that site relies on people to get him info on guys like him playing overseas. maybe he doesnt have a contact for that league. I really dont know but its pretty odd they cant get someone to feed that guy info of guys playing in that league.
forgot about eliteprospects.com
