Officially getting demoted to II.4 in hockey. Unless there's some regrouping that would somehow affect where I go.

By the way, if anybody sees a decent young goalie on the market, let me know. Preferably in the 10-20 mil range.

Off to the finals against the second seed. He messaged me asking a question and saying he will be AFC on a cruise for 9 days. Guess I know what tactics he'll play

Sounds like he could be playing the deception tactic.

Grapes are on to the II.3 finals for the third straight season:

First major purchase in handball for me. 30M for this guy. Nice of suprvilce to outbid me and drive me up from 20M to 30M... especially since I had to set an alarm to wake up at 5am for him.

Bids were coming in quick. Had the GMs not ***** me on my GK sale I would have had the funds to buy a different guy and you would have landed this guy. Blame DarkBoy

Yeah i wasn't 100% of the time on his page in the final moments so i can't really say with certanty when i outbid who, if i did outbid you directly maybe it was because i thought you outbid me :p

I've had bids on quite few players this week, few of them went for 50-60M. I was hoping to buy myself some players but seeing how they are all going for more than i want to pay i said to myself fck it and just put 53M in facilities. I'm just not liking the idea of keeping my own players since they mostly have meh Qs. One thing about the brownish handball theme i don't like is seeing the >81 Q's on a player with that lesser brown, it just makes me want to get rid of them ASAP.

I'm going to slowly acquire guys in the <30M region. Ones with good Qs, but not great, and likely a few manageable poor Qs. I have weak players now, with decent skills. But in a season or two they'll be atrocious so best start making the growth now.

Main thing is, I hardly have anyone with shot or block Qs on the court aside from GKs. My DEF and Sho ratings are terrible as a result. A few upgrades in Qs there should make a difference in the long run.

I bought myself one player about a week ago, RW, still unscouted because of the market "frenzy", around 246 OR 15 6/6 for 2.65M. Has AvQ 62 unscouted but trains FiP from 75 - 82'ish, while my 69 avq scouted player with 72 FiP/shot/block trains about 62. I have a 20 4/6 player on RW and a 16 5/6 with 52 avq and 44 Q speed on RW. I bought him as a future depth player but seeing he may just end up being my #1 RW if i fail to find a better one on the market - god knows i won't pull any good players. I saw a 280+ 15 6/6 go for about 800k few days back so it seems the market for crap Q players is almost dead - the players i get the most.

Awesome. My plan is to unload one guy for each player I buy. They're well-built players with decent EXP but just lack multiple key Qs. Ah well. Can always hope to get lucky, then have most of it taken back by the GMs

Interesting observation today. Canada played England. England's CF had a 100 rating. Yet, his build was weaker than Sharrard's who has a 79 rating. That is a big gap. For some reason I had this guy scouted. Here's the comparison:

Off Sho Pas Tec Spe Hea Exp IGR
471 415 141 269 353 141 118 100
422 357 147 231 315 147 83 79

The small secondaries (pas/hea) are lower in the 100 IGR guy so that should be the limiting factor in his build. That is, unless, they are required in quantities less than 30% of primary. I'm going to train Sharrard's shooting up to 90% to see if that will boost his IGR noticeably. There is a difference in EXP but the 25 points won't give a 20 point IGR spread.

West's ratio is 100/88/30/57/75/30, none of his (applicable) attributes are lower than 29.935% of primary. If we normalize for experience (assuming that 100 experience is a 20% increases in IGR), then West's normalized IGR is 100/(1+(0.002*118))= 80.91 and Sharrard's is (based on his IGR on Saturday): 80/(1+(0.002*79)) = 68.61.

Assuming that the limiting factor on West's IGR is pas and hea, and that the limiting factor on Sharrard is Off (assuming 30% for pas and hea is ideal), then West's effective Off rating is 470 and Sharrard's is 422. (470/422)*(68.61) = 76.41, leaving just 4.5 IGR points to account for. I'm assuming that any chemistry difference would favor Sharrard (although West gets the same IGR for his regular team). The other question is how do their energy levels compare? West has played 120 minutes on VL for the English NT this season, leaving him at ~99.95 energy. What's Sharrard's energy at?

My arena in hockey was improved to max capacity today. In 30 days I can finally stop dumping money into my arena and focus on my facilities. In 48 days it will be 100% completed.

Sharrard is on the USA NT so same energy thing applies. I like what you're doing here. I guess I assumed my ratio was perfect for CFs. Anyways, something to ponder. I've upped shooting and now I'll wait to see what happens and maybe see if dropping pas/hea down does anything.

First night training shot and his IGR bumped to 80. Coincidence?

I noticed! Thankfully Smart People will be gone at the end of the season. My team should be good enough to remain in the top 8 without too much effort. My goaltending will be significantly weaker than it was this season, and I'm planning on getting about 4-6 younger skaters to plug into my lineup, but I think my team strength will still be higher than most of the teams in there.

My handball team is really crapping the bed right now. I lost again today. I dropped from top 30 in the leaderboards down to 110 - probably in the 120 area after today. It's definitely not my players' talent - so it's either bad luck, the result of lower chemistry, or bad management by me. Or a combination of all three. Thankfully I don't have to worry much about missing the playoffs.

Your in for a tough one Carm. You did not gain the OTR from the CL. Well at least you will finish 6th to 8th and can upset one of the top seeds. I am coasting into the playoffs. Going to run camps as soon as next level of SA and TF is done. That goalie I picked up for 11m Gedmonds Kannins was a steal. Trains at .8 or more each day. All I have to fix is his blocking as its a little low.

Speaking of training my main Defensive Pivot trained 1.08 on FIP today. I am guessing when I run the camps he should train around 1.5 to 2 each day. I have on average 10 to 13 players training at .60+ each day. RF10 is done in 7 days, SA11 is done in 25 days and TF11 is done in 37 days. Looking forward to better quality players stepping in. One of these days I will crack a top 20 player in I.1 or top 50 in USA. LOL I now have 3 in the top 250. 63rd, 132nd and 238th

SA is still MEH each week. But I am getting 1 240 to 260 OR players to replace all those 200 to 230 players I have. 3 left to get rid of. Then I can start to get rid of 7 240 OR players I carry.

His IGR was 80 yesterday, on your team (he didn't play for the NT this week).

Happy to see the prices rise on some of my prospects I'm selling. Shame a lot of lvl 11 TF teams are doing the bidding. Have a look, all good players. The soccer guy I'm selling is the only 900+ OR 6/6 player on the market right now.

Lost a heart breaker in hockey today.... Had tactics and took the game to the enemy. Next year. Score 2-1 in OT. Outshot and had most of the play.

My team choked in hockey like they have a tendency to do. Leading 1-0 going into the third and handed it to the other guy, losing 2-1. He beat me on tactics though, so there's that. Right now it's looking like I'll be the team to beat in III.7 next season, so at least I have easy OTR to look forward to. Now I just have to shoot for third so I get a shiny new trophy for the case.

I can't really feel too bad about losing today. The teams in the finals in my division have been dumping tens of millions into their roster. The guy who beat me today dropped about $20 million on players in the past week alone. One of his recent purchases was the goalie who outdueled me. Meanwhile, neither of the players I've purchased this season have managed to crack my starting lineup (they're mostly there to net me a profit later since they were dirt cheap). Next season is going to be fun since I can focus hardcore on my facilities, though.
