NHL Action Films

In my vintage hockey video collection, I have "NHL Action Films" from the 1972-73 season on DVD. Games include a young Lafleur wearing a helmet against Buffalo and Andy Brown playing without a mask for Pittsburgh against the Flyers, truly when the NHL was still an art form. I remember hearing somewhere that this used to be on TV back in the day on a weekly basis and that there are only a few remaining in this series since a very bright person(s) trashed most of the versions made of this program. Any thoughts? I thought that this could be connected to the "Favourite NHL Era" thread.

I recorded a few good ones off of classic sports in the late 90's
1975 all star game one was good and my favortie is the '75 isles/pens series with a pretty good in depth look at an islanders practice with Denis Potvin mic'ed up.
