We're not getting Boucher. Bergevin isn't a bold man, and nothing in his history with us suggests that he'll make any sort of positive contribution to the team.

I'd love to the surprised, as with the Cole trade, but there's no way I can bring myself to trust the rodeo clowns running the show. Why the **** does this organization have Scott Mellanby on its payroll anyway?!

Hopefully that ends this board's Boucher fetish.

This guy is so overrated on here.

I'll give him this, he is charismatic and an excellent self marketer who always makes a great first impression. Not a good coach for the longterm.

Well there goes the contingency blame.

Bergevin will do something to shake up the dynamic of the room, which could be bad, but is scary at the same time.

Once the changes don't fix anything, coaching will come under fire.

The only question is who will be the replacement? Gallant as an interim? Unlikely as he doesn't speak French. So many question marks now that Boucher is off the table.

Clement Jodoin. But I don't think Therrien will be fired. Unfortunately.

good get more coaching experience...we need all the french speaking coaches to get as much experience as possible and be ready for a potential call down the road.
I personally don't care about this year. We do NOT have the team to go far. I care about 2-3 years from now.

Bergevin is a good man who gets his friends jobs. I wish I had a friend like Bergevin who would employ me because we played hockey together so I wouldn't have to keep taking **** temp jobs.

Such character from this GM.

In my opinion the Quebec Remparts missed out on him completly. I would have given him the key to the kingdom as GM and Coach way before Philipe Boucher. Who had no experience at anything, really.

A while vack I pointed out that Bergevin lacks character and people laughed at me.

In the near future I'm either going to continue to have way too much free time or will be working a temp job on autopilot, so I'll be around for a drink or ten with advanced notice.

Chill out man, remember that being into sports is largely irrational as a hobby and that you are a spectator, not a participant.

I wish I could join you two for a drink.

The biggest loser here is Molson, not you. If he had hired someone who osnt dumb he would be making 100 million dollars more.

Yeah, gonna ease up a bit. Monday was particularly rough.

As for the drink... well maybe during a stanley cup parade.

That one is pretty obvious. It's to make sure that there's no rats in the locker room!
