PA hasn't been playing great but Roy said decision also is based on him having just come off injured list, needing some time to get stronger

Adding the qualifier "almost" doesn't erase the fact that he was "almost" a point a game player for only two of the three years you mentioned so you exaggerated and on top of that you would have to really stretch the meaning of almost to fit your observation. And you conveniently overlooked the fact that he has been a consistently minus player. So in reality he could be a 3 point a game player but when he's on the ice for more goals scored against than scored for who really gives a phoque about this player?

Let me show you how I can play with that "almost' qualifier. Bourque was almost a 30 goal scorer for three years in a row.

He's french, he's small, he's soft

Perfect for Bergevin's recipe for disaster.

All depends what kind of character he has before trading for him. If he passes that test, he will be a Hab

I'd be happy if we get Parenteau, for : Gionta, Bourque, Desharnais, Brière, Moen, Gorges, Diaz, Murray or Bouillon.

I wish I could explain better how I feel about this but I suck at english, so here it goes:

I feel like, if MB trades for PAP, this is a total panic move only to appease the angry ''fans''. By trading for a french player that signed with another team (remember briere), people should be happy, right?

Anyways, I hope we don't give up too much for him...it's time for MB to show some real negociations skills because French player + MTL = Must give up a lot for him.

He's also being misused and given crappy wingers... and that's when he's not playing on the wing.

At 24, I'd be inclined to be more patient with him. Will he ever become a legitimate 2nd-line centerman? That's up to him, but considering how Therrien uses him, Therrien's not doing him any favors.

Pacioretty - DD - Parenteau
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Bournival/Briere - Plekanec - Gionta
Prust - White/Bournival - Moen

Markov - Subban
Emelin - Gorges/Diaz
Murray - Beaulieu

Traded : Diaz/Gorges + Bourque

-We reunite the EGG line.
-We have a 6'0 RW who can create offense with DD/Pac.
-Plekanec goes back with Bournival/Briere and Gionta

That might happen. Money wise and if you want to bring some kids in the backend with Beaulieu, Tinordi, Pateryn, etc. Will see.

We have very few right handed shots and he is a guy that had produced well the past 3 years. 6foot 190 isn't very small I would accept him to the team with open arms.

I'm fine with Gorges for PAP. Really clears space for new blood, we gain skill which we need, hopefully he slots into Gionta's spot (and gio walks), Gorges doesn't become captain, and while he's nowhere near being a powerforward he isn't a complete hobbit.

Gorges isn't the worst Dman but he's a dead weight because of his contract and his inability to be a scoring threat. The constant pairing of him with PK just makes it easy for teams to cheat coverage when we're in the attacking zone.

Trading Gorges now for a forward without replacing him would mean Murray/Bouillon full throttle. The tank would be on.

PAP needs to play with a big center who can carry the puck, create space for him, and feed him the puck. That is not Desharnais.

I can see Galchenyuk-Eller-Parenteau maybe working.

No, it would mean youth coming up. we have 3 guys who can be NHLers right now IMO, with Beaulieu being the one who can crack the top4. Tinordi and Pateryn can easily fill out the bottom pairing.

Losing gorges will cost us a bit defensively, but the trade would make us better.

The only thing that scares me more than Therrien's inability to coach is Bergevin's state of mind and his ability to make a panic move. Yes, Therrien can mismanage the team and set the wrong lines; all problems that can be fixed. But if Bergevin makes a dumb** move to relieve pressure from fans and media (french in particular), it has the potential to set back the franchise for years.

People don't want PAP because they don't want another older, soft minutes player who is currently struggling. We already signed a similar player this summer, don't add another one to the list.

What is this pressure coming from the FRENCH MEDIA ?

You mean, those who are starting to question Therrien's coaching ? It would really be dumb to react to that, yeah ?

Yeah.

Holy crap...
