Alexander Perezhogin

Thats will depend of the Avaibility to Play Koivu and Kilger at the season Start!

Whats your bets?
Dackell, Perezhogin and Bouillon.

But I think it's even money when you consider Hainsey and Plekanec as well. I wonder if Dax will stay, but will be exposed on the waiver wire to see if anyone takes him.

A concerned fan.

Dagenais and Gratton! *bangs head on table* Can't believe I forgot them!

I'd say the next 3 will be Hainsey, Plekanec and Higgins.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dykhuis was picked up during the waiver draft, but can't see ANY team touching Traverse witha ten foot pole.

Therefore, it becomes easier to guess the protected players for the upcoming waiver draft:

Jose Theodore (protected)
Mathieu Garon (protected)

Francis Bouillon (protected)
Patrice Brisebois (protected)
Ron Hainsey (no need to protect)
Mike Komisarek (no need to protect)
Andrei Markov (protected)
Stephane Quintal (protected)
Craig Rivet (protected)
Sheldon Souray (protected)

Jan Bulis (protected)
Micheal Ryder (protected)
Niklas Sundstrom (protected)
Marcel Hossa (no need to protect)
Saku Koivu (protected)
Chad Kilger (protected)
Yanic Perreault (protected)
Mike Ribeiro (protected)
Joe Juneau (protected)
Tomas Plekanec (no need to protect)
Richard Zednik (protected)
Donald Audette (protected)
Jason Ward (protected)
Christopher Higgins (no need to protect)¸

Therefore, one of
Andreas Dackell
Gordie Dwyer
will be protected..

I'd keep Dwyer since he's our only fighter remaining

good list.

But anyways, not sure we really need to protect Juneau at 2.1M (not sure) a year contract. He could stay unprotected probably...

Hot Damn!
This day just keeps getting better and better. First I find out that I don't have schol for the rest of this week because some people still don't have power due to Hurricane Juan, and now I find out the Dykhuis and Traverse have been cut.
There's still time for a supermodel to come knocking at my door!

"Les autres joueurs retranchés aujourd'hui sont Benoit Gratton, les gardiens Jean-François Damphousse et Éric Fichard; le défenseur François Beauchemin et les attaquants Pierre Dagenais, Alexander Perezhogin, Benjamin Carpentier et Jonathan Ferland."

These are the other dudes who were sent down, as it says at the bottom of the RDS article.

This is great, great news. Even though I don't feel confident about the Habs making the playoffs this year at least I have a really good feeling about the direction the team is heading in. Thats 4 bits of deadweight gone - Dykhuis, Traverse, McKay and Czerkawski.

In the words of Mr Burns

'' EXCEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLENNNNNNNNNNNNT ''

2 more gutless, no talent and non physical players off the team !!!

Hopefully both are claimed in the waiver draft saving us a pile of cash, but heck the fact management has finally realised how bad these two are and appear ready to keep hainsey up instead of them is excellent news !

Don't let the door hit you on the way out TRAVERSE!!

For a moment I thought you were talking about Pat Burns and I was like : " Wow, when did he said that "

Anyone can give the list of the players remaining in camp? ( sorry, it might have already been posted )

Just to be clear, is this thread saying these two were actually cut (released by the club, sent to the minors, bought out etc.), and not just placed on the unprotected list, where they may or may not be claimed tomorrow?

Edit: See reply to this question below. In this case (players actually cut) this is very good move by the Habs organization - letting the best players play.

They were cut from the training camp.. Will be sent to Hamilton if they don't get picked up.

Hate to say I told you so! :p

I can't believe BOTH have been sent down, I think at least one of the two will be bought out or maybe both (wishful thinking!). There's now 10+ defensemans fighting for spots in Hamilton. I hope they will be claimed in the waiver draft but I highly doubt it.

That move definitely deserves a '' ''.

Addition by substraction, I can't say how much happy I am right now.

Way to go Gainey!
