My 'Denver' artist votes would be

David Eugene Edwards

Nathaniel Rateliff

Hard to see how you could go wrong with either one

I'm excited about getting an outdoor game because of the NHL Revealed show that features the Stadium Series teams.

I'm down with some Nathaniel Rateliff!

I'd even take Churchill if they hadn't broken up.

NHL Revealed is going to be awesome to watch with this group of guys...

It looks like the 43 game schedule may not be an outdoor game, but instead a game in Quebec City, likely preseason.

I think it's a mistake to wait one more year for an outdoor game. They're risking missing out on the perfect opponent for the Avs, and an amazing alumni game filled with guys that used to hate each other.

The Avs should be pretty competitive next year, but Detroit's best players are getting old, and they don't have a young core already on the roster ready to take over. They could go into full rebuild after next year, and suck with a bunch of no namers. They'll never put a team like that on the big stage of an outdoor game.

They want competitive teams, that's why the Avs have been told to wait. Next year might be their last chance for a long time to have Colorado play Detroit in an outdoor game.

I saw some comments about that but it's not like the Avs are going to tell the truth. What are they going to say, yeah we are having an outdoor game. Plus why would they reduce your preseason package, those are the games you don't want to pay for. Plus that's a long way to go for preseason, what are they going to drag Blandisi and Bourke all the way there and play a shoddy roster?

I'd be pretty surprised if Detroit was the opponent. I don't think stadium series games have alumni games anyway.

Its already been reported by multiple sources that Denver is most likely to get it next year. Coors is the major sponsor of the event, and want it to be in Denver at Coors field, pretty sure when the company fronting all the money wants it to be in Denver, that makes it as much as a sure thing as you'll get. I think it will by Avs vs Minny.

Avs vs Wild would be perfect. I wouldn't mind Blues either

Gah...no it wouldn't. None of the matchups between the Wylde and Avs has been all that entertaining this season. Avs/Stars games have been far, far more fun. The only matchup less desirable IMO is Avs/Preds.

I'd be all for Avs/Hawks. Or Avs/Blues. Or Avs/Stars. But no way in hell do I want Avs/Wylde.

TMV, in your season ticket renewal did it say at all if ticket prices were going to change?

They removed some packages, including the one I had been doing the last three years (which is why I may not renew) but overall, the prices went down.

Avs/Stars would be perfect really. Minny makes more sense to host.

If there is an outdoor game, I might have to come to town for it. Never been in Coors Field.

Well the speculation was wrong, no outdoor game this year. Though they think chances are good for the following year. I had a bad feeling when San Jose and Minnesota were rumored to get one this year, the league isn't going to do 3 western conference outdoor games.

I'll gladly wait for a year. The team is just getting better.

Shame Detroit's already played two Winter Classics. The alumni game would have been the best ever. Avs-Wings Winter Classic in Coors Field would have been the easiest event ever to market too.

Avs won't get a true Winter Classic either. NBC would never choose them. I'm not even sure they will ever choose a western conference team to host (other than Chicago).

But waiting a year is fine, I guess. Team should be even better by then.

It would be nice for an Avs-Wings outdoor game.

With the Croatian connection, I think the Avs should look into playing a pair of outdoor games in Pula (one vs an NHL team and one vs Medveščak ). The backdrop is too cool not to do it.

A bit OT, but 2Cellos had a helluva concert there a year ago (seen it on youtube). That place looked amazing.

More OT but it'd be cool if Medveščak played Jokerit there. The Bobrov Division seems like a real interesting one.

******. I was going to make my first trip down to Denver for the game. Maybe I'll still plan a trip to go to a few regular season games.
