Because he has played there before and looked fine playing wing in the Olympics. Not sure if Kesler has wing experience..

Team Canada was able to move the best defensive forward in the NHL to wing because they had Crosby, Getzlaf and Taveras. The Bruins do not have those players.

Yeah kesler as much as I would like it would move krej to the wing..and he doesn't really fit on a line with bergeron or kesler. Doesn't make sense...

If you get Kesler he's your third line center and he plays both special teams. Just comes down to whether it's worth it for this team to give up a major piece or multiple pieces and/or prospects for a third line center, especially when Soderberg seems so comfortable in that spot.

I don't see a fit, but as I noted, I'd love him in Boston. Totally fits the mold.
