Turned on the game for a second, saw it was 7-0 and switched back to the playoff games.

McCarthy was getting on my nerves last night.

"You know, Matt, being down 3-0 in this park isn't really a big deal." *Seconds later a single makes it 4-0*

Next inning "A 4-0 deficit still isn't that big a deal here." *Moments later Tulo hits a 3 run bomb*

I turned it off then also. 7-0 seems like a pretty big deal in any park.

1-0 is a big deal with this offense

3 runs in 4 games. No extra base hits. Phillies baseball.

Seriously if you can't hit at Coors Field something is wrong.

McCarthy must have compromising pictures of the Phillies owners or something.

I still hate the decision by the Phillies ownership back in the mid-2000s to get rid of Scott Graham and keep Tom McCarthy. UGH!!!

Love Franzke and LA. They're close to the line of Kalas/Ashburn school of commentating; don't talk excessively, especially when nothing is happening in the game. Very impressive really for RADIO broadcasters.

Yeah they are great, they let the sounds of the game come through the radio and I love it.

Honestly, so far, Howard has been pretty decent. He's not elite, but he's hovering around the .900 OPS mark and ****, after the last couple of seasons. I'll take that.

I think the Dodgers may be a bigger trainwreck than the Phillies. Sure, they'll finish better in the standings, but that team isn't that good and they have a COLOSSAL payroll.

Howard, Utley and Rollins have actually been doing well so far, relative to expectations. It's everybody else in the lineup that's been the problem. Nice to see Ruiz break out last night. Revere, Brown, Byrd and Asche are gonna need to pick it up though.

I have hope for Brown/Byrd/Asche. Revere is junk....project failed.

Really? Why? Even if they failed, they gave up Vance Worley. Hardly miss him. Trevor May, who knows.

guy was our best hitter last year...

he has missed a lot of time. how about giving him a chance to get back into the swing of things (no pun intended)?

plus he's 25. that is still younger then when most baseball players even make the league.

Yeah good point, those 200+ games from before this year are meaningless. I always forget how quickly guys can go from promising young player to a failed project. Most 25 year olds who get off to a slow start are worthless players that will never rebound. I mean, Revere got off to a slow start last year too, and he barely even batted above .300 by the time he got injured. What a waste. No chance that happens again. If he is batting only .262 through the first 17 games, it is pretty much impossible for him to return to his form of the last two seasons. Yup. The guy is a joke. Project failed. I wish we had Worley still. I mean THERE'S a guy who can rebound to his form from two years ago.

Revere needs to walk. He's no use if he isn't on base. Hitting .300 means nothing for him if his OBP is .320.
