I agree--but we still overpaid. Sather thought he was trading a bunch of spare parts for a top notch goalie. Problem is, Dunham never proved to be durable enough to reach his potential.

Last night JYP played a game against 2nd tier team Jukurit from Mikkeli. Tonight they play againts them again in Mikkeli. The game report on official site Jukurit.fi says this about the last nights game:

"Jarkko Immonen viimeisiä pelejä Suomessa

JYP-leiristä saatujen tietojen mukaan Jarkko Immonen pelaa tällä erää viimeisen ottelun Suomessa ja JYP:ssa torstaina Kalevankankaan jäähallissa. Kiekkotaituri suuntaa sen jälkeen luistimensa NHL:aan. Asia vahvistuu näillä hetkillä."

which means:

"Jarkko Immonen plays last games in Finland

According to the information gathered from Team JYP Jarkko Immonen will be playing the last game in JYP and in Finland this thursday in Kalevankangas Arena. After this the puckhandler will direct his skates to NHL. This matter is confirming as we speak."

No, not yet. But the rumor has it, that he has signed and Rangers will announce it later today or tomorrow. Probably today anyway, at the same time they will tell about Pikkarainen.

I'm glad we've got a puckhandler on our hands.

Any word on Prucha's or Immonen's contracts? Buyouts?

This mornings Keskisuomalainen, local newspaper in Jyvaskyla, has an article where GM of JYP, Jukka Seppänen, tells that Jarkko and Rangers haven`t reach agreement yet.
