PK Subban is frustrating to watch

For all the offensive threat, he's brain dead on defense. I know he's consider top 10 defenseman in the league but have you ever seen Shea Weber? He's the idea defenseman, can play physical, offense, and defense. Any chance we can trade PK Subban for Shea Weber? You can see Subban stop skating and let Gorges cover 2 players on the end. I feel for Therrien. Subban's cockiness is killing this team. Please don't give him $10 million. I rather have Nail Yakupov, Aaron Ekblad, Darnell Nurse and Connor McDavid. Please trade Subban I'm done.

hes below average defensively, not as terrible as some of the other PMD's but the combination of him being a puck hog and subpar defensively makes him frustrating to watch

Yea your right we should probably trade our top scorer and franchise defensemen... I think Subban is the least of our worries

From what I've read in the GDT, PGT, and here, I've identified the problem with the Habs.

Our two leading scorers.

This thread wont end well.

PK has been playing poor defense as of late. Too many turnovers and too many goals against.

I am sure that the kid has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. The Olympics, the contract negotiations and the living up to the Norris Trophy season last year.

He needs to relax a bit.

Thread opener brings a good point, Subban hasnt been playing well at all lately, he looks totally out of the game plan and plays his own risky game.. He makes costly and rookie mistakes and is certainly not an example for a kid like Beaulieu right now.. In fact, Subban is playing like he wants Therrien being fired, his lack of focuss is certainly getting on my nerves.. If Im Bergevin I inquire about his market value and wouldnt close the door at the possibility of moving him..

Agreed 100%.

I am looking forward to seeing him in the Olympics playing with better players though. To me when he had the puck in OT, all I saw were his teammates standing there not knowing what to do. In Sochi, they'll know and it will be magic.

PK hasn't been playing that great lately, it happens. He'll bounce back, and when he's on, he's an offensive threat that is incredibly effective in all 3 zones. This thread is over reactionary.

I hate watching Norris winners..

By the way, on the last goal, PK is on the puck carrier, the forward coming back let's his man go and comes on the guy PK was already covering. Gorges gets caught trying to go behind the net when he should stay in front. I will admit PK was sloppy on his way back though, but to solely blame him for it is ridiculous.

I know this thread is sarcasm, but I'm not even excited when Subban shoots. He's a part of our PP problems, but he's part of the solutions too. Wake up, PKS76!

It hurts to watch Subban, because he has become everything that his critics claimed for years.

Through an incompetent defensive scheme and psychological games designed to break Subban and turn him into a "better person," Therrien and Daigneault have reduced one of the best defensive defensemen in the league into a player who has no positional awareness and is afraid to make a breakout pass because he's over-thinking things trying to make the "safe play" off the boards. It's tragic.

Kriss, I am not going to bash Subban for the hell of it. He is our best DMan.

However, there is not a need to make excuses for him either. Here is the video of that goal.

http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/boxscore?id=2013020825

Subban is out by the dots double-teaming Killhorn with Pleks. With 23 seconds to go in the game. That is a rookie D mistake to ignore the Bolts forwards driving to the net.

If Killhorn beats Price from there, so be it.

Swap Murray with Subban on this goal and then ask yourself if Murray would be to blame.

Anyway, no need for people to react so negatively toward Subban. He had a bad game and he will bounce back from it.
