I don't know about the cup with Budaj but against Boston in a 7 game series I could see the Montreal Coach sticking with him. MTL would obviously need to make a move for another goalie (maybe Thomas from Florida for a 3rd rounder) . Just saying a team mentality can change when a new goaltender is in there. Just look at Halak a few years ago. Price has trade value and if MTL could get 2 top 6 forwards for him it could help big time

He wasn't to blame last year IMO.

Thats what they hire scouts for. The bruins backup is 9-3 this year. Id never even heard of him before. Holtby came out of nowhere and also beat the bruins 2 years ago

Why don't they get rid of Rask for this guy then?

I would have never gave Rask all that money. With the Bruins defensive system it inflates goalies stats.

He is bad defensively. You can't really argue that point. A lot of teams top 6 centers are bad defensively though. Not everyone has it.

I seem to remember Price posting a
shutout in game 7 vs Bruins a few years ago.

So we ride Thomas (washed up) and Budaj(career backup) in the playoffs?

Halak has done nothing since our glorious run to the conference final.

Which top 6 forwards could we get for Price?

I hope tonight's game because the norm. That was funtastical hockey to watch.

best I've watched in months, great play by the habs. I hope eller starts putting it together, because he's much better than he's been playing.

still don't like therrien, but love how this team played tonight. they looked like winners.

There are levels of bad. Slightly below average, bad, really bad and doesn't care about defense. He falls under the slightly below average because the effort is usually there and he breaks up a lot of plays with quickness and good reads. Just won't overpower bigger players. He is plenty good enough defensively to be a good NHL player, as you said a lot of offensive centers are not.

Eller could use a few games in the press box. Use Briere at center with Moen and Bourque once White returns.

The amount of disrespect Carey gets is unbelievable That's borderline trolling IMO. The team's performance in the last few games, besides the last two wins, made Price look worst than he really is, and even then, he played on his head to minimize the bleeding. We're lucky to have Budaj as backup, I love him, but Price IS our no1 goalie for years to come and easily one of the league's top 5.

He's a B's fan who's trolling us since a Habs fan went to their boards and said they should trade Rask.

More like the opposite. I went there and copied his post. This guy is serious but then again, he's a Bruins fan in Montreal.

I'm asking you for an actual deal, not a hypothetical. Also, I don't think Thomas will get rode in the playoffs anymore.
