QFT. Fans like to blame missing the playoffs and not winning the Cup on the Richards/Carter trades, but the Pronger injury holds the blame

he would be 39 years old right now. Plus the fact that they werent very good defensively before he got injured. Think there was a game after the cup run in December 2010 where they played Florida at home and lost 5-0. Dont think they have been good defensively since that night.

Couts leads the team in TOI with 7:40 with Gus/Schenn pairing at second and third.

Decent period, get a goal here boys.

Of 26 attempts, the Kings only managed 3 scoring chances.

The Kings are a plus-possession team, they just don't do anything with the puck.

It was both. We haven't replaced what any of those guys meant to the team.

Mason was good, Gus was great, all 4 lines had decent chances. Overall pretty good. LSchenn would be so much more effective if he would just shoot and pass the puck quicker instead of doing 30 pump fakes first.

This. People really overestimate what adding Pronger would have brought to the team last year and this year.

It would be nice to see this team get a ton of odd-man rushes for once

I'd say having a #1 defenseman like we had in 2010 would be more important still

Team would be helped a lot by his outlet pass.

What pairing wouldn't be better with Pronger on it on this team?

Gus with 7:26. They need to stop sending him down. It's painful.

Is this a joke? Pronger, despite his age, is exactly what this team is missing. The guy would play 30 minutes a game in the playoffs. There isn't a player in the league that is a bigger difference maker than Chris Pronger. That kind of leadership and ability don't just go out the window because he's older. I would've liked him to stay around just to keep the C and pressure off of G for a few more seasons.

You can't overestimate what a future HOF dman could add, even at a late age.
