If the Rangers missout on signing Hamrlik, I bet Sather signs Jiri Slegr. He was on the Pens with Kasper, Jagr and Straka. What u think??? Im actually shocked Sather did not do this already

I can see it--it's another step in the assembly of the overthehill Czech Team (avoiding ones who've played for the Rangers before).

Unless we trade Poti, NO MORE FA DEFENSEMAN!!!!

We need at least 3 spots for the Yoots.

Three spots for yoots?

I haven't done much counting yet but only count Tyutin and Kondratiev as players who are 'must haves' in terms of NHL positions. The balance can start in Hartford (Liffiton, Taylor, Baranka, etc.).

I think Lampman might be ready also. That's an assessment that can be done in training camp--so we might want to wait until then to decide whether to take on another veteran or not. To me the issue with him is his ability to handle traffic in front of his own net. The only real reasons for going after another FA now would be if the team feels it needs somebody else to play point. And there's a possibility that Straka could handle some of that and also whether the team feels it's tough and/or
strong enough in front of its own net.
