No fan should ever boo the Habs - ever

I don't know if this has been discussed but no one calling themselves a fan should ever be booing the Habs. I don't care if they loose ten games in a row. I see people booing at he Bell Center and I want to throw my drink at them. It's a sign of disrespect that is not tolerable. You want to make a statement? Don't watch and don't go to the games.

That is all.

People pay 500+ bucks to watch a game (tickets, parking, food, etc.) If the team doesn't show up or pay like crap, a fan has the right to boo. They spent the money to watch them they can boo them all they want. Let me guess, you agreed with Don Cherry when he said the Oiler fan who threw their jersey on the ice should be ashamed of themselves.

I dont know if it was discussed but no one calling themselves a husband should ever argue with their wife, just put up with her ****. I don't care if she's a psychotic psycho. When i see people arguing with their wife i just want to run them over.

You want to make a statement? Just don't come home and don't call her.

That is all.

I used to say the same thing, but the current prices at the bell, people should be free to take dumps on the ice if that's makes them feel good.

Strongly against booing our own player, strongly for booing the whole team.

Habs have been booed since forever. Béliveau was booed when he floated around too much, the 70's dynasties were booed if the PP didn't produce a goal after a few tries. If they don't want to get booed, the just need to play well. Nothing wrong with expressing your displeasure when it's warranted.

I strongly disagree for booing our team when we are only down by a goal or 2 when it's still early in the game, but when we're getting murdered, or on a 5 games losing streak with the team not doing any better, then go all out on the booing.

The fans are paying for this, we deserve to tell the team what we think about the crap they're giving us in return.

I encourage booing. The fans are the real heros, without us there is no sport, no team.

14$ beers and 500$ tickets - boo, boo away until the product is to your satisfaction.

Silly nursey rhymes are full of ****.

Words hurt. Bullying hurts. there's not way around that, and being in denial about the fact that kids you mad fun of MAY have had lots of trouble because of it is not a healthy behaviour to have.

Nevertheless, I disagree with the premise. Someone up-there said that it's wrong to boo a single player, but booing the entire team is more acceptable... and he may be right.

It's wrong to single out a single player. But when the entire team just... gave up and seemed to be totally out of the picture (like the 0-5 loss to the Caps), then it's important to make them understand how disapointed we are.

The point of this sport is entertainment. A loss can be entertaining- even if it's disappointing. It happens. But a game that was nothing but a soulcrushing experience for everybody involved? It's the players completely failing the very reason they are paid millions of dollars.

You should realize Habs take too much place in your life when you actually suffer from the boos more than the players on the ice.

You don't owe them anything, it's quite the opposite actually. You have every right to expect a great effort every game (not necessarily a win).

Well, paying for your ticket and then booing is not really efficient, to say the least. You can do it, for sure, but it won't change a thing.

It's like buying a Big Mac and only then complaining publicly that it taste like clown ****. McDonald's doesn't give a damn, they got your money already.

The best way to complain is with your wallet.

Then again, by that reasoning, no Canadian or anyone considering themselves to be a true Canadian should ever pull for an American team when there is a team from Canada and a team from the US playing, e.g. the Toronto-Boston playoffs last year, the Canucks-Bruins cup finals in 2011. No true Canadian should ever have pulled for Boston in those cases.

The reality is, you get to pull for whom you want, and if you are paying a lot of $$$ to see your team play and they stink, you have the right to boo them. The NHL is an entertainment business and you have the right to boo your team just as you would heckle poor live entertainment or boo and walk out of a bad movie.

If the habs play like garbage that is 500+ dollars and 4 hours or so you won't get back. In a big hockey market like montreal the Least the fans can ask for is 100% every night from the players and if not then they are going to hear it.
