I think Streit just has an agility problem, and maybe some trouble when he has to transition to skating backwards.

He always looks a very competent skater on the cycle and rushes... and I would not say he is slow.

The GDTs would become likely become humdrum if there was a uniformed approach to each forum. And thank you.

I know you're talking about Streit in general, but on the particular play the replay showed it wasn't as bad as it first looked. Marleau got distance on him but it was partly to the outside, not just straight ahead, and as a result the shot was from a pretty lousy angle.

Not saying Streit isn't slowing though.

edit: oops meant to reply to someone else.

That's actually what it was. He was turning and started skating forward toward our goal. Still, slow in transition is still slow.

I like your GDT's MSE. Though truth be told I did like it better when they were longer with all the history for every team even though I know why you can't do that.

I know I don't say it enough either that I like your GDT's and general boss moderating. Forgive me?

Yeh... for a D man transition and first step are arguably more important than anything else skating wise! I think you see it with the penalties he takes especially, it seems like a lot are transitioning from forwards to backwards or backwards to forwards and he loses his gap so has to get his stick out or check someone awkwardly.

The only thing the Sharks GDT had was the line up, record, and the goalies records...

That kind of stretches to the whole team. Anyone who knows their hockey (like you) knows that when you get hemmed in your D zone or can't keep up with your opponent you tend to take a lot more penalties. Our team is horrible defensively and a lot of our players (especially on D) can't keep up with the opposition.

Smart roster composition there.

Columbus is up 2-0 on Anaheim with one period left for those curious and following the standings.

Look at some of their past GDTs. They're pretty funny and the guy who does those ones must be a master at photoshop.

The history for each opponent exists but I chose to display only certain teams because some have now gone into a second post and in the case of the Rangers a third post. I place a link near the center of the GDTs in those cases which is updated with every game against those franchises. The problem is that with all the youtube clips and photos, the page can become sluggish when editing.

MSE is a master at knowledge and professionalism and character and just generally being a cool dude.

He wins.

Read had one against Vancouver?

Edit: Read has 2. Coburn, Hall, & Couturier all have 1.

We have at least one. Not sure the total number though. Kind of weird we don't have more though with how good our forwards are at scoring and how good our PK is.

I like to not think about it though because then it reminds me of how bad our PP is at giving up goals against.
