Next years' UFA's?

Several threads have mentioned next years' bumber crop of UFA's being better than this year.

Is there a partial list (Partial because so many players are unsigned still)somewhere?

Thanks

Thorton, Samsinov, Lecavilier, St Louis, Chara and Redden come quickly to mind

I can't see any flaws in that logic.

I think Ottawa will lose one of Redden or Chara for sure.

Don't make any bets on that. I think it's a 50/50 chance right now that he'll sign with the Bruins long term.

I believe Hossa is also pending UFA for next year (please correct me if I'm wrong) so this will put alot of pressure on Ottawa. There's alot of cash to tie these three up.

As for Thornton. I believe he will be traded and then signed if Boston doesn't think they can sign him. I would be shocked if he becomes UFA unless he really wants to stick it to the Bruins, and I personally don't see that.

Once the CBA was released, I did some poking around to see what goalies would be eligible (age wise, I wasn't sure of what contracts players were signed to). Off the top of my head, the following guys, I remember being eligible:

Theodore
Nabakhov
Vokoun
Turco
Giguere
Cloutier
Lalime
Thibault

That covers the guys that will be hitting the UFA age for the first time. It doesn't include guys like Kolzig or Brodeur. I'm not sure when their contracts come up, but they've already past the UFA age, so every contract they get from here on in or UFA contracts. I've also exlcuded guys like Cujo, Hasek and Belfour, who are on their final tours, I'm pretty certain. I've also excluded guys like Khabibhulin, who just signed a long term deal.

The real NHL calibre starters that won't be eligible, by my count are Kiprasoff, Luongo, Biron, Aebisher and Denis. I'm probably overlooking a few guys as well, but overall, the goalie market will be pretty wide open next year, with a lot of movement happening at this position.

Kipprusoff would be eligible depending on what happens with him and the Flames this offseason.
