I couldn't find a Devs lineup from last night to speculate from, but Schwab did play 60 minutes so we've probably got Marty tonight.

With 3 games left for us, this is basically a dress rehearsal. Against our biggest rival, I think will Sather will dress just about all the regulars.

It's funny how Brodeur never misses a NYR game.He sat out last night so I think he'll w/o a doubt be in nets tonight.

They played the B's last night and played alot of the big boys upfront but sat out Stevens and Nieds and Rafalski on D so they'll probrably be in as well.

Should be a decent test for the squad tonight even though it is preseason.

The game is also on the NHL Network (a Canadian digital-cable and satellite specialty channel).

JR & Melrose,

Thanks.

Well Tjutin is in the lineup. Good to see.
I wonder if that means that Poti is still bothered by that injury.

Wow, that was fast...47 seconds. Well, atleast Lundmark is playing with Holik now judging by the boxscore. Lacouture-Holik-Lundmark-Malakhov-Mironov took the minus according to Yahoo boxscore. Feel free to correct me if you are watching it on tv

I also really think Tjutin is doing great out there. He's knocking people over and contributing with a solid two way game.

Haha..

And no. Heerema isn't dressed. I heard he had some problems getting there or something. Not really clear...

its sad but i almost dont think he should bother, he's heading back to carolina on friday so we can protect petro.

why can i just see this being a stereotypical rangers move and consequence?

Petro goes on to become a fourth liner, bubble player and Heerema a late bloomer scores 15 goals for the canes and becomes a solid though unspectacular 20 goal, 35 point kinda guy.

not that i necessarily think that, but i can just see it happening somehow.

I've always liked Heerema. I think he can be a solid 50 point kind of guy and I KNOW that would make your day if he's reclaimed. ^_^

One thing about the Lindros line. All three forwards are very strong on the puck. Carter just out muscled a Devil forward and Defenseman to keep the puck deep in the zone.

Is that for the most part their everyday line up?

3-2 Debbies...

I like the way Lindros is playing out there. He absolutely freight-trained Rupp and he is playing in front of the net and hitting a lot. I'd love to see him even get to half his old form...

Devils everyday lineup will include Jay Pandolfo, John Madden, and Colin White as regulars along with guys like Brian Gionta and Turner Stevenson also fighting for regular minutes.

That really doesn't make a lot of sense from Carolina's viewpoint. Why waive the man than turn around and pick him up in the waiver draft forcing them to expose someone else when they could have just protected Heerema in the first place. That would be a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.
because maybe they didnt have a spot but they didnt want to lose them. kinda like petro, sather doesnt really want to lose him but there are other guys he'd rather protect.

so let's say your jimmy rutherford. if you dont protect him you lose him and cant get him back, unless the other teams waves him. you cant claim him in the second round of the waiver draft in other words.

so you call sather, you say "hey glen, pick this guy up early. you dont protect him and then with the first pick in the waiver draft i claim him. i dont have to risk losing him because i gain an extra roster spot that is exempt. you on the other hand save a spot and dont lose petro."

i mean i am not saying that is what is going to happen but it is possible and would make some sense for both teams.

The glaring absentees are Scott Gomez, Colin White, Brian Gionta, and Turner Stevenson (who is injured) and the lines are a little screwed up, but it's certainly not a kid team, it's all roster players and players that have a good chance of making it.
