Cats-Ducks proposal

We know the Ducks are up against the cap. Since they need to lighten their salary situation and we have some useful players signed cheap, here's my offer. Feel free to modify...

Carney and Sykora to the Panthers for any two of Huselius, Kolnik, Nederost, Cairns or Karpovtsev

Depending on who they select, the Ducks could add as much as $4 million (roughly) in cap space.

If you guys want to make Luongo happy you'll ask for one of the most under-appreciated crease clearing defensemen in the NHL, Keith Carney.

What would we have to give up in return, draftpicks so they don't add money to their cap?

I'm sure Burke would love to get his hands on Huselius. He could be the next Naslund. Burke loves the swedes. Sykora makes 3.1M$ I think we'd be able to land Bondra for that money. No need to give up players.

I dont see Keenan trading Crains ever

I'd much rather have Sykora instead of Bondra.

Especially considering they've got about the same production as each other and Sykora is 9 years younger.

Sykora's time as a Duck are dwindling down, it's only a matter of time to see him in South Florida, IMO

Krapo and Nederost and Huselius in a heartbeat.

If only two, then Krapo and Nederost. No hesitation, no regrets.

Didn't we almost get him last season?

So would I. He would be a great crash the net guy and actually a Keenan player.

Is he any more consistent than when he was here, or when he was after being traded to the Isles? Remember, this is a guy who would score 3 goals in one game, then none for another 4 games. He was barely a 20 goal scorer because he simply couldn't pull it off on an every night basis.

And that's no Keenan player, let me tell you. That's a Keenan trade bait.

But if he's gotten better, and if other players are willing to shoot the puck so he can pick up the rebounds, then I'd be all for it.
