I hope the Czechs crash and burn for some of their decisions

no Hemsky? he's clearly better than old man Nedved

and no Pavelec? he's not great but Kovar looked brutal on that 2nd goal

Anyone else seriously disappointed at these jerseys? This is the Olympics, they shouldn't have practice jerseys on.

Talking about Sweden's specifically.

Kovar's night is done. The Czech might get relegated at this point.

Sweden is toying with the Czechs. This is flat out embarrassing.

It's unfortunate, I generally like cheering for CZE, but a lot of their team decisions have been inexcusably bad.

You know we're down by a few goals, lets staple one of our most skilled players to the bench, and keep playing these plugs. Ah, what a recipe for success...

He was on the bench. You can dress an extra player in the Olympics.

Maybe the Oilers told the Czechs don't play Hemsky. We got a deal for him as long as he doesn't get injured

The Czech coach needs to wake up. Hemsky just had the best shift I've seen from a Czech player aside from the one blunder.

Hemsky's looked pretty good now that he's playing. I'm not he sure he actually did have the goalie beat on his chance in front. Also, this ice doesn't look as big as the ice they play on in the Spengler Cup.

How in the hell does Nedved keep getting PP time? He hasn't done squat.

Nepotism. Isn't he the coach's son in law? Or is that Barinka? Either way, this roster wasnt built on merit.

This Czech coach is a bonehead.

On another note: I never get tired of watching Jagr play. Hugest wingspan when he stick handles, never rushed, makes so many smart little 5ft passes under pressure. One of my all-time faves despite being an Oiler killer.

EDIT: Karlsson looks absolutely deadly on big ice. Wow can this guy skate.

I was all happy that Team Canada played at 10AM tomorrow, then I noticed I have a midterm at 10AM tomorrow.

WHO SCHEDULES A MIDTERM ON A TEAM CANADA GAME? DOES HE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BEING CANADIAN? THAT IS LIKE SCHEDULING A MIDTERM ON CHRISTMAS DAMMIT!

/rage

On another note, women's hockey is unwatchable for me. Very slow, tons of poor decisions, seems like even the top tier teams play without any real structure. Before you tell me not to watch, don't worry I figured it out for myself after testing out CAN-USA today on pvr. Just let me know what medal we win haha.

Flame away...

EDIT: I have a lab exam tomorrow from 8-11. I feel ya
