Me too! I'm going to try to pvr tomorrow's and go completely off the grid and turn off all phones/radios/etc. Hopefully I don't hear anything at school. Although if it does get spoiled it's not the worst, since it's only Norway but still.

After a few "quieter" days, it's going to ramp up again on Thursday as we have a lot of contenders in action:

- St. Gelias and Hamelin (as well as other Canadians) in short track
- Nesbitt in speed skating
- Hollingsworth in skeleton
- Chan and Reynolds in men's figure skating
- Luge Team Relay

I'm probably being optimistic here but Canada has a shot at 3 medals tomorrow (I'm hoping for St. Gelais + one other Canadian on the podium in 500m, and Nesbitt or Luge Relay).

That's my plan too but I don't see it working. Gonna walk out of the exam and hear people talking about the game.

Maybe I'll wear giant earmuffs and rocket back home as soon as I'm done.

Is Nesbitt expected to medal? I thought I read that she's fallen off the map a bit with some health problems the last couple of years.

No, she's not, but she's Canada's best chance in that distance and I'm being optimistic.

Welp, I'll catch the end of the game tomorrow and the start of the game on Friday. Then I have reading break next week so I should be able to watch all those games starting with the one on Sunday.

Bleh Hollingsworth just completely bombed in her first two skeleton runs. Too bad, feel bad for her.

This day going from bad to worse for Canada.

Beaulieu-Marchand falls twice in his ski slopestyle run - Hollingsworth messes up her runs in skeleton, St. Gelais (and her teammates) fail to reach Ladies 500 m final, and the defending gold medalist relay team.... falls in their heat.

Oh boy.

We're going to lose to Norway.
Oh god.

Patrick Chan.

Disastrous couple of hours for Canada for sure. Jacobs needs to hold on against Denmark or this turns into a real turd sandwich of a night.

I can't even imagine what you're going through in the B-Final. Ultra competitive skaters... no chance of a medal.

Here's another massive crash in the short track - you think it might be the ice, after all of this? Two separate falls (GBR torpedoes ITA, KOR falls anyways)

China with a gold, nearly lapping her fallen teammates.

Wow.

A lot of disappointment from Team Canada today.

If Patrick Chan can stay on his feet he has a great shot at Gold, however.

not worth the early wake up

Oh well. Best shot at a medal's coming in 15 minutes - Luge Relay. Might end up with something after all.

Take it you haven't watched short track before. Its not the ice. Its the speed and G force going around a tight track like that. To that degree its kind of an odd sport. The Achilles heel is losing an edge which is fatal to your chances. One misstep and you're flying off into the corner sometimes taking other skaters with you. Nothing too irregular going on and at times half the field wipes out.

While I respect those that do this for their passion I find short track is so unforgivable as a discipline that it must be chock full of heartbreak.
