Why the heck did Dallas protect Pierre Turgeon?

I took a quick look at unprotected guys around the league and it's pretty slim pickings. TO left Travis Green and Josh Holden unprotected. An upgrade over Dackell?

A few notables:
-Cujo is unprotected
-Pavel Bure is unprotected
-Dallas protected Turgeon

I can not understand why Juneau got protected while Beauchemin is not. I think nobody would have taken Juneau ( I some foolish had, we would all have been happy!!) and I am convinced we will lose Beauchemin. It is the same kind of mistake we did last year with the small defenceman who is now with the Stars (I forgot his name). The are two good defensemen lost for nothing...

Not true. You can't lose more than three players or one goalie. There's no stipulations about losing d men.

We lost both Robidas and Bouillon last year, they can take as many defensemen as they want.

I really dislike the fact that Beauchemin is unprotected.
I think they should have left either Juneau or Dackell unprotected instead of Beachy!

Wheres Michael Ryder. I though he wasnt waiver exempt?

Anyone know what Travis Green makes? He could be useful as a checking line center....

I also don't understand the logic in protecting Juneau and Dackell over Beauchemin?

Green made $1.5 mil last year. But he's 32. Probably a move in the wrong direction. Would rather have Ward or Ryder playing.

Green is in the same division so we can't take him.. That's what Yvon Pedneault said today at RDS.

The same division rule only applies in the first round.

From RDS....

"C'est ainsi que ces 11 joueurs prennent le chemin de Hamilton, et à l'exception de Benjamin Carpentier, Alexander Perezhogin et Jonathan Ferland, ils peuvent tous être sélectionnés vendredi lors du repêchage intra-ligue"

Why are they saying that Carpentier, Perezhogin and Ferland can be picked up in the waiver draft????

Actually it says they can't be picked up.. "All of them can, except for Carpentier, Perezhogin, and Ferland, can be picked up." would be my translation.
