Alright folks, time to over analyze this trade. With the acquisition of Robert Czarnik, I believe we have become contenders for the cup for the next few years. I don't think anybody else can win the Molson cup so we should be good.
Looks like a case of both teams didn't like where their own prospect was in his development and feel like they can help the one they traded for.
Or Bergevin wanted to save 10k on the cap so he could afford a new Armani suit
I would hope he wouldnt buy a Hugo Boss suit.
He would get my bid as a good GM if he bought a Samuelsohn.
You guys do nothing but *****. Nobody has even mentioned the trade or it's implications, all this thread is is people complaining about how other people are probably going to make this into something. Get over yourselves.
I did, third post from last, first page!
But I agree, the topic has become part of that "act" that has taken over the board.
Bergevin will do a press conference in the coming days saying how he likes the team, that he's not a fan of overpaying at the deadline. He will always try to make this team better, every day, every hour, every second, but he's happy with it. He's done for the year.
Habs didnt draft Busto but goy him in the Gomez trade. New York Rangers traded Scott Gomez, Tom Pyatt and Mike Busto to the Montreal Canadiens for Christopher Higgins, Ryan McDonagh, Doug Janik and Pavel Valentenko.
What a horrible trade. Higgins >>> Gomez. And then you add McDonagh and Valentenko who if I remember correctly, still had decent potential at the time. Just an awful awful trade. And some people miss Gauthier We received mother****ing Doug Janik and the forgotten piece, Michael Busto.
Mike Busto was the most obvious bust in NHL history.
AND the biggest bust trade for Habs since ROY
