Mason has been tremendous recently. I wonder who will start against Calgary. Either way, hopefully they control play a little more on Saturday. Tonight was a good, hard fought win.

This team can be so damn good when they play up to their potential. ANA-LA-SJ-COL stretch and they go 3-1. Not bad at all.

Very good game there.

I bet Mason sits out on Sat and then gets the olympic break to rest

We were treated to a good goaltending duel tonight, Mason & Varlamov both came to play.

Mason did a great job, too bad could not get the shut-out, hope he is not hurt, if he is at least he has the Olympic break to recover.

Simmonds was real good and fast tonight

I think the defense played very well tonight. They didn't make too many mistakes and were able to limit the Avs' chances most of the game. Lot's of good poke checks too.

Cramping seems to be the reason for Mason, specified in post-game interviews and reports. The cramping began in the second period.

Good about time. Leave a star player over missing a summer ball hockey tourney to rehab a major injury and take lesser players is idiotic.

What did he say ?

Every point counts right now. I hope Mason plays on Saturday then gets a well deserved rest. Can't assume Calgary will be an easy win.

Mason's SV% climbing back up, approaching the 92.0% mark again.

Yup. Mase has to start. Flames are no push over and you can't wreck all that's good from these last 3 games and let Emery **** the bed.

Couturier with his 2nd assist set a new career high in points.

Pacing for 39 now.

If he finishes the season with over 40 I will be impressed as heck. (at the start of the year I said 35 would be a great year... 7 off with 24 games left.)

Correct, 91.8% to be exact. I believe it was at 91.3% not that long ago before this recent stretch of good games for him.

Glad it was just cramps for Mase. Shame about the SO but it got some easy points for G, Simmonds and Coburn.

Giroux 11th in points now.

6th amongst Canadians.

4th amongst Canadians in assists.

20th amongst Canadians in goals... ahead of Nash, Bergeron and Duchene and equal with Toews.
