I'd like to see how Stepan looks when he's in game shape all season.

He can't be this bad. He killed his line with minimal effort tonight.

Come on, the oilers don't game plan to stop anyone defensively. When Nash is off, he coasts and hardly ever has the puck.

In Callahan's defence, he did create a lot of the opportunities he missed himself. I can't really say he had a bad game, missed opportunities may be more frustrating - but they are better than no opportunities at all. I'm looking at you, Rick Nash.
What was the result, and who did the scoring and helpers. Can't get up NHL.com to night.

cally needs to be traded, top line needs to be broken up.

Kreider-Brass-Zucc
Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Pouliot-Richards-callahans replacement
Carcillo-Moore-Boyle

This.

He was outstanding tonight. Both ends of the ice.

Wish Nash would put in half his effort.

@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR Cam Talbot didn't seem to be pleased about the coverage breakdown, either: "We can't leave guys alone in the slot like that."

I agree, but lately he's been one of the best players on the ice for us every game.

Can this team just force a ****ing OT. Unbelievably frustrating game just looked out of sync and disinterested.

Zucc looked in top form as usual

Sometimes I wonder if the majority of posters here are Ranger fans, in the same ilk, as most casual football fans. Meaning it seems like some don't understand the game they are watching. But they talk it up like man that guy Clay Matthews is the man.

Talbot played really well.

Nash is invisible again.

Man that was a boring game. Terrible.

And when Dorsett comes back, who sits? I still hate Carcillo, but he hasn't played badly and hasn't warranted a spot in the press box.

Cam is entitled to speak his mind, but hasn't really paid the dues to call out what is a very experienced and respected defensive core.

I'm trying to look ahead to tomorrow's game but it's almost as painful to think about as tonight's game. My only watching option is NHL N that means I'll be suffering through Steggy and Errey. Easily the absolute worst announcers ever! I hope Malkin takes a puck to gnads. Hate that guy more than any other player...in fact, I don't think I even hate any other players, now that Pronger is retired.

Oh wait, Matt Cooke.

Lately? Try all season. Zuccs has been our most consistent player all year. That's why many of us voted him as our MVP thus far.

If you give Stepan and Brass an even bigger role next year in Richards absence, you will see their numbers improve. Stepan has never been a blow-your-pants-off type player. Now he is playing with two very aggressive wingers (Last year it was Hagelin, who handles more defensively than Kreider) and his role on the PP has diminished. He isn't a "bum", you're all overreacting as usual.
Stepan's diminishing role on the pp came about because he was so poor on it.

Why not? They had a miserable break down in front of him and they scored. This isn't really a matter of respect. They can't do that with two minutes left in the game.

he's an edgy dude man. I kinda dig it, wish we had some more forwards with his mindset.

And again, I'm sick to ****ing death of Rick "Canadian Bobby Ryan" Nash.

I would trade him for a pair of 2nd liners and a pick in a HEARTBEAT.

Trading for him is going to end up being the hearald of this team's return to the dark ages. And to think how much longer we have to watch our highest paid skater play like he couldn't care less.

My god I wish I believed how overrated everyone told us he is. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself.

Rangers didn't play hard. No one wants to get injured before Sochi. I do not expect any difference tomorrow, but hope PIT Olympians will drag their team down. I hate the Olympics !!!
