2/7/14 7:30pm Sharks vs Blue Jackets -- Happy Birthday Jody Shelley

Now the Jackets' TV analyst, Mr Shelley will be celebrating his birthday in our fine city.

So, let's show him how much he's missing (because he moved back to Ohio and not staying here)!

Game news/notes (updated through the day): http://icebergpix.com/h/news/140207pre.html

Coaching tonight's game, Todd McLellan sets the new franchise record for most games coached.

Couture, Torres, Hertl; Kennedy, Nieto -- out. Demers - questionable. McCarthy recalled with Nieto/Kennedy out injured.

So McCarthy with a hat trick tonight and Niemi a 56 save shut out. Sharks win 3-0.

We'll have to see what happens with the CBJ defensemen tonight. Brown tried to remove Ryan Murray's head, and Wisniewski has been nursing a bruised foot and may have tweaked something in the third period last night.

If everyone plays as they have been:

Jenner - Johansen - Horton
Calvert - Dubinsky - Atkinson
Foligno - Anisimov - Umberger
MacKenzie - Letestu - Tropp

Johnson - Tyutin
Murray - Wisniewski
Nikitin - Savard

Bobs in net

Brown is just accident prone, bro. Give him a break, he could've gotten hurt from that hit, too...

Just like some players are injury prone, Brown is prone to random knee convulsions and sometimes his elbows just have a mind of their own. poor guy...

Might happen. Stalock was off the ice early yesterday at practice and Niemi was out there an extra 30 minutes (just like Tuesday).
