Sorry for the lack of updates, the fact is though that the team sucks at the moment. 10th place (out of 12 teams) 7 goals scored in 6 games. I'm blaming our coach, he wants to play some sort of what we call socialisthockey were all four lines should produce, needless to say it isnt working. Kopitar is still getting good icetime though and he is one of the better players for Södertälje.
They had another lousy game today but at least they recorded their 1st win at home by beating Luleå 1-0. Anze Kopitar assisted on the goal but besides that he wasn´t as impressive as before, perhaps he´s feeling the pressure now to perform every night.
A goal for Kopitar tonight (night for me atleast ), in 2-1 win against 4th placed Färjestad, watch the game on TV and Kopitar played a good game, especially the 1st and 2nd period, he gets plenty of ES time and PP time, hardly any PK time though. He is not as standout as in the beginning of the season but i think that has more to do with the team finally waking up.
Thanks, Lion! The video for that game may have well have been called The Kopitar Show. The most interesting things about that video are the two short interview clips with Kopitar (in English!). That's the first time I've heard him. He does have good English.
There are some pretty great scoring chances (and one goal) of his in that clip. I had to go back and re-watch his goal at the 30-second mark, though, since I was completely distracted by the hugest on-ice advertisement I've ever seen. That thing puts "Thank you, Fans!" to shame as far as distraction factor goes.
I love how Kopitar goes to the net in the first scoring chance shown and parks in the slot on the final. I can't wait to see him in the NHL.
last night Södertälje won 2-5 against Timrå. Kopitar had 2 assists and played a good game according to the reports in the media.
You can see all the goals here, Kopitar assisted the last two goals for Södertälje: http://www.aftonbladet.se/atv/player...26&clipID=3887
