Isn't there a mercy kill rule? Like, if you have 9 points when you finish end 9, the game is terminated?

Woah, nice stone there

But we're Canada and this is curling #wearewinter

Murdoch just can't handle the heat. Shoulda never stepped into the kitchen. Good game by the Canadian boys.

why is canada not playing to eliminate the stones??

they need to stop throwing rocks into the house to start, because you're setting the other team up with a possibility of 3's...don't like it.

Pretty sure curling is really popular in Great Britain. After all, it was first played in Scotland.

Did Canada ever sweep curling by winning both gold medals?

They are. Have you not noticed the 3rd to last stone of this end? They cleared 2 of their own stones

4 ahead with the Hammer.

I can live with that. We just need to play for a cleared house.

Actually, you cannot clear the first 4 stones of an end when they are ahead of the house. It's called the Free Guard Zone

you can tap them to the side, without knocking them out of play.

unless the rules have changed.

see where the center guard is? you could've split it up and have both almost to the sides....

No, you are right. You can move them, but not throw them out of the play.

It's still too delicate a play to risk, IMHO. Canada can clear the guards with the 3-6 stones

Yeah, I used to curl but ours were never that good.

Jacobs will now try to blank and hang onto the hammer. Even giving up one to hold onto the hammer is good.

Needless to say, with the unexpected gold in ski cross this morning, if the men in curling and hockey do what the women did, we've got a good shot at winning these games.

At this juncture, it seems to be in the hands of our overpriced pampered millionaires.

Oh, but we already won. What happened to "participating is winning"?

And there's still speed skating both short and long track. Skiing too I think.
