According to Marinaro, Markov Emelin and Price will remain in MTL for tomorrow game.

So we are trying to lose then? Why would we do that against Chicago?

No problem with that decision. Back-to-back and gotta get some rest for certain players + game action for others before the real season starts next week.

We aren't "trying to lose".

we are "resting key elements". Plus, Chicago is also injury-ridden, so we are merely balancing the issue.

Resting players who have played some big minutes down the stretch. Maybe test the kids against a tough opponent?

Gorges Subban
Tinordi Weaver
Bouillon Beaulieu

yikes... Still pretty impressive to see the habs depth at defence without their top pairing and #6 guy

It's good to see Beaulieu have minutes.

And Gorges-Subban as top pairing might help fire up Subban.

I bet Therrien's still not totally sure which guys he wants as his 3rd pairing going into the playoffs so this will give him a chance to see them all in action.

If anyone watched Chicago-St.Louis on Sunday, you could see how physical they play. It was downright painful to watch. You don't want to risk any injury on a meaningless game. Worst possible outcome would be losing a key player on a pointless shot block.

Habs are playing 3 games in 4 nights to end the season. How much of a rest will they get before game one in the playoffs,I wonder?

Perhaps the schedule maker is also a bookmaker and didn't think the odds of us making the playoffs were realistic...

Our last game is Saturday while Tampa Bay plays on Sunday and playoffs won't start before Wednesday probably... not too concerned

Usually I don't like not playing our good players, but in this situation I totally understand.

Hope Markov's gonna have a good post-season. The guy is so important to our team...

Playoffs don't start until Weds April 16th as per NHL. And if I had to bet, I would say the Habs 1st two playoff games are scheduled on Thursday & Saturday.

CBC & RDS will insist they play on that Saturday.

Tinordi is skating with Weaver and Bouillon is with Beaulieu. Would suggest Tinordi will dress in Chicago.

If Wiese is back in, I wonder if they'll reunite him with White and Bournival which looked great together for a couple of games before Bournival was concussed.

Did anybody hear that buffoon Jeff Blair on toronto fan 590 ask the other buffoon Ed Olczyk who he thinks are the 2 canadian teams with the best future, and the idiot Olczyk said Winnipeg and Toronto the 2 teams he played for...what a shock...P.S. Briere score a goal you are at 299 career goals so Montreal can get rid of you this off season.

I have no problem with the decision. No point to risk an injury. Great reason to rest up the players (Markov/Emelin have hardly had a break this year)

Home ice isn't that important anyway.

Price will play the last two games.
