Great series between London and Mac and Windsor and Vail for tons of reasons.....You have to hope that London isn't eliminated to do well during the Mem Cup. And if they do win, we'll then see what are the Habs intention with Vail as soon as Windsor is eliminated.

So after his horrible start to the season, McCarron finishes with 34 pts in 66 games for a 0.52 PPG. Could be much better but it's nice to see him play better.

Hopefully he dominates the playoffs.

I was in solo mode tonight so I headed for the Bob. Gatineau c Cape Breton. Should be one of the very few decent matchup in the 1st round.

Didier with 2 helpers. Guess he puts up the points when it counts! lol.

Hey if Pateryn can do it? seriously, i'm interested in what he can bring.

is it just speculation that he'll be going to hamilton next year? thought i was hearing that here awhile ago. weird that he would ditch school just one year before graduating. i almost think it would be better to do that last year. there would most likely be more room for him in '15-16.

good to hear about reway too. for a kid who has questionable defensive habits, he does seem to make a lot happen short handed. which is just freaking amazing.

not really considering prospects like DLR who are/seem like virtual locks, reway and McCarron are probably the two prospects i hope fulfil their potential the most. they would make us perennial contenders with our current core for years to come. Crisp , Tinordi and DLR too (okay i lied, lol).

Re: Didier
There was an article out yesterday about how the Habs won't ask him to forego his senior year, so looks like he's staying in Colorado next season.

edit: http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/c...ocus-nchc-foes

ok seems as though the Habs won't push him but he can still elect to sign, kinda up to him.

Clearly not room for him. Would be interesting to see if he can kinda of add a little offensive touch to his game next game. It's the right move to stay him in College. If he ends up being even bigger with all the training, geez, he'd be a massive man to deal with.

There's less than no room in Hamilton, so it's better that Didier stay in college.

Fucale ate 3 goals on 18 shots (Halifax had 51 shots going the other way).

McCarron with a goal (+1) and 4 penalty min.

love nothing more than to see a beastly playoff from him. so far so good.

i'd still put him as a bit of a long shot but not as much as some say.

you just can't put up a 2 PPG in the wjcs on a mediocre team against really good teams and not be a going concern. i'm starting to think he has to actively try not to make it at this point.

For Fucale, 2nd goal wasn't a good goal. Couldn't do much on the other 2.

Yea I was watching the game, it's tough for Fucale as he can have spans of not seeing the puck for quite sometime and then he has to stop a breakaway.

McC was much better the 2nd half after the move to C. He's back on the wing Now ( still 3rd line)
The adjustment to the O is a big one and many a US kid comes over at 18 and takes a while to get up to speed.
He stopped trying to be a tough guy, got into much better shape ( self admittedly) got paired with well suited linemates, and figured out how to stay on his feet.

He will not dominate the POs, this is a very skilled league with guys up to 2 yrs his senior.
What I hope for as a Habs/ knights fan in London is an increased compete level in the POs and him contributing. He only has to be a piece, a needed piece for team success, but just a piece. He was trying to do too much early and it didn't help.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a scrap in this series ( maybe even tonight ) but he's not an enforcer by any means

London should walk over the Spits and Vail ( he was terrible in the 1st yesterday) but if gab fans wanna see some good jr hockey the next two rounds will provide it, barring upsets

So....he was doing better at C and now back on the wings? Why?
