Our 4th line is going to be the most hated line in the league without a doubt. Nichols is great at stirring the pot, and man even though he is small.......he is SO scrappy.

This season is going to be a lot of fun!

A fourth line of Hordichuk-Nichols-Tootoo is goin to be scary, even if they're all smaller sizewise. They'll all go at it with anyone.

Im not coming here to antogonize but dont get your hopes to high on Nichol, he is worthless. And he takes a ton of stupid and selfish penalties at bad times. If he gets too much ice time, he will drive you nuts.

Hawk fans are ecstatic to be rid of him.

You guys made a couple of great additions in Kariya and Markov. Getting Markov for a third rounder is a steal. I dont know what Philly was thinking, he is beter than the dmen that they signed. He hits like a truck.

Its good to see the talent being spread around now.

Nichols tendancy to take bad penalties doesn't worry me too much. It's something that can be correctable. I think Tootoo can be a good influence on him, as Tootoo is a master of knowing when to walk away. But he if continues to take bad penalties, we should have the depth to let him go. In the positive side, Nichols has the ability to be a pretty effective 4th line center. I hope our coaches can bring out the best of his abilities.

After all that is what coaching is all about is it not? That is why we hear so much about "a change in scenery".

well I have to admit, Im not exactly dancing for joy with this one..but if there is anything that I have (finally) learned, it's not to question a Poile move.

Saw on NHLPA.com Nichols signed for $525k/ year...seems a little generous considering Eaton signed for $700k/.....

Good point....probably cost Eaton $5k per game to play up there.....fairly expensive ice time to keep in shape during the lockout year if you asked me...

Maybe if you would have combined my thread which was posted at the same time as this one [like a decent mod would have]...using my title of course....you wouldn't have to be such a schoolmarm...

I'm glad we signed Knickols too, especially after drafting center Ryan Parent...

I said that I didn't know if Parent would fall to #18, but I am sure glad he did...maybe he can center Kariya and Sullivan...

I hope you're not talking about our first line, because you're a fool if you think Tootoo isn't on it.
