Joseph and/or Hasek?
We should have a pool for how quickly this will get ugly. My read on this is that the Wings pretty much have to play Joseph in at least a dozen or so games to show other GMs that his ankle is OK. So what can go wrong?
Well for starters...
a) Joseph could play unbelievably well and Hasek could play like he did against Ottawa yesterday. Can't trade Hasek. Would you be quick to move Joseph then?
b) Joseph or Hasek gets something like a nagging groin pull that Detroit's insurance doesn't cover and the Wings are still on the hook for $16 million and unable to move either of them.
c) Cujo plays fairly well and Holland manages to flip him for 2 prospects and a 2nd line player. Hasek then gets hurt or just goes totally in the tank.
d) In every game Cujo plays he looks awful and Holland can't find any takers.
e) The team is so distracted by all this they start to slide down the standings.
This could go on and on. Anyone in Detroit got any kind of a read on this mess?
I'll take Hasek thank you. Honestly, I don't care that much, but one of them needs to go, and it will be CuJo. They already have the best backup in the league in Manny Legace, so what do they need an $8 million bench player for. They nbeed to get rid of him and get something, anything in return as soon as possible.
