That was one hell of a shift by the US of A!

Kessler with a hatty. I`m having trouble seeing how anyone can beat this side.

I think three, maybe four or five team have a decent chance - Canada, Russia and Sweden, with maybe Finland and Switzerland on a very good day. Yesterdays game against Russia was decided in a shootout, and to be fair is that the only game until now where the Americans have met a challenge. For the top teams the tournament doesn't really start before the knockout stages.

True, I think the lines need a couple of tweaks to complement Kane and Parise better. Kane's puck skill is just off the charts though, holy. I keep the Pavelski and Stasny lines together and do this:

Parise-kesler-kane
Wheeler-Backes-Callahan

I sit Brown.

Of course Russia plays the USA like it's the gold medal game, but they play like ass against the Slovaks.

A lot of bad games from prominent teams, USA look the best so far. QF round will have some interesting seeds. One of the top seeds may get a Czech matchup.

Once the Russian players have their Gazprom shares revoked, there could be an emerging market opportunity...
