Radulov could be a 100 point guy on Crosby's wing if he could find a coach that didn't mind about his dumb penalties and lack of playing defense.

Hopefully its not another broken bone for him, that would suck... It definitely don't have to be anything serious at all. A serious whack on the hand or if you are hit by the puck, can definitely just put you out of action for a couple of days.
Usually they can tell if it is broken pretty fast. When Zucc broke his wrist for the Rangers, the Rangers doctors confirmed a fractured wrist before the game was over.

But maybe not if it is a minor fracture (which could be serious enough).

Judging by his post history, I wouldn't be surprised if he is.

Whatever. Finland is going to put Russia in its place.

And sorry, I'm not going to be even close to sold on Radulov based on one good game against Norway. He's still one of the stupidest hockey players I've ever seen.

Tollefsson should be in the NHL.
is Tollefsson friends with Nash from his Jackets days?? if Girardi or Stralman walk, i wouldnt mind Tollefsson added as an UFA (not sure about contract status) he would add much needed grit and toughness on the blueline as a 5-6 or 7 dman..

Good effort from Norway, they just didn't get the breaks they needed playing the system they are. Russia is the better team. Zucc could have been a difference maker in a tight game like this.

I'd welcome him as an affordable option. Very impressed by a lot of the non NHL talent in this tournament. With the cap rising, and a premium price being paid for proven NHL players (7 mil for Callahan?) the teams that do a good job scouting European leagues will get the bargains (see; Zuccarello this season)

i wonder if Rangers will take a look at some of the european UFA again since it has worked with Zuccarello so far... they can use some more depth in the organization..

I wouldn't mind seeing Patrick Thoresen in a Rangers jersey. He has been a the top player in the KHL last couple of years. Among others he has won the KHL championship, been a KHL all-star, been the KHL playoff assist leader and has been the KHL top point producing foreigner twice.

I don't know what his contract situation is though. And his age might work against him. He's 30 already, but I think he could have at least three good top producing years left.

well he has some NHL experience with the Flyers and Oilers. their was a reason he either went to Europe... and their is reason he was let go by both Flyers and Oilers. he is another Jiri Dopita. good enough for european hockey but sucks at the NHL level.

So he sucks in the NHL, but you wouldn't mind him on the bottom pairing. Got it.

How did Olimb avoid giving away a penalty shot back there? Looked like a pretty clear trip. Kudos for back checking hard after a ****tastic giveaway though.

Norway pulls the goalie, so prepare for the empty netter..

And there it is, Radulov nets it.

ah well, honest attempt by Norway.. they played a very good game i thought.

I hate that "I'm too good to score an empty net goal" attitude Kovy and his linemate displayed there. I hope the Finns spank the Russians tomorrow.

Rangers had Stu Bickel at one point. im sure it cant get worse than that... some players go overseas to live closer to home.. some players go for the money and that just proves that they dont care about winning The Stanley Cup...

for each player that goes overseas, their is a different reason but most of it is either because they cant play in the NHL, or money and living closer to home..

Okey, screw these olympics. Give me back the NHL.

I want Tollefsen, Olimb and Thoresen in the NHL.

I hope Norway doesn`t get bounced to the B-league now...

Not sure I agree completely with that. The ones that are paid tons more are also likely to have a different role on the team they go to. In the case of Thoresen, the choice was likely to not play much at all for the Flyers, or have a 1st/2nd line job in Russia. Which do you think will help you develop more as a player?

whats the point of developing as a player if you dont make another attempt at the NHL once the player leaves for Europe??

Obviously you're not winning the SC from Russia, but if you develop significantly better in Russia for 2-3 years than you would from a marginal role in the NHL or worse, on some AHL team, then I'd still say odds were better of returning and making a difference for a team later, than if you stayed.
