This one's big

A report in the Montreal Gazette says rumours are flying about a deal brewing between Montreal and Florida which would see the teams switch goaltenders.
The rumoured deal would send Montreal native Roberto Luongo to Montreal for former Hart Trophy and Vezina Trophy winner Jose Theodore.
Florida's insistence of the inclusion of Calder Trophy finalist Michael Ryder is the sticking point for the deal.

The notion is preposterous. Besides, Montreal would be overpaying.

Montreal would love that deal. I don't see why Florida would do it.

Spectors hockey listed it, but he poo'd it. And it does seem a bit farfetch, right????

Right???

Thing is...Keenan is not a big fan of Luongo, and Luongo is not Keenan-lover. There was a thought that Luongo would be traded on 2003-2004 trade deadline, but most ripped it on here. But the fact remains that Luongo/Keenan are not exactly lovey-dubby. It would not surprise me to see Luongo moved b/c Keenan wants someone he can work with in his Iron Mike fashion (its been done before by Mike and it will be done again).

Maybe you'll think it's all bunk..but see what happens. Luongo's an immense talent that does not work with Mike's tough love. A better place, and he will do even better.

Martin likes Luongo. Martin got Kennan his job. Luongo won't go anywhere.
