Stumpel, Lindros, Burke, Cujo, Hammerlik, Wesley...

Who will be picked? Any any pen FA action today?

Hopefully they will sign Burke/Cujo and a solid defensive dman (Wesley?) and call it an offseason (as far as UFA signing goes). I'd rather they avoid adding any more fowards, unless it's a third line center (which Stumpel, the name I keep hearing in rumors, is not).

I'm praying for a trade for Tbo and a contract with Hamerlik.
But it will probably rather be Burke and a center.

If Burke is our goalie, I'm afraid we can pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye.

Thats fairly rediculous. He is still solid, and he's big so the decrease in pads wont hurt him as much as some other goalies.

Question: Is Hamrlik really that hard to spell? I've seen so many people butcher that name.

No, Pittsburgh won't sign anyone today.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. Just being big doesn't make him a good goalie. He's old, slow, prone to injury, and looked pretty bad in the few times I saw him play last year. You should at least remember the general reaction to his performance as a Flyer.

Yeah I can't get it right because of a former Pens draft pick, Hamerlik.

BTW, yes it's ridiculous to say Burke won't put the Pens in the playoffs.
He's a solid goalie, with a good spirit, and he will help take some pressure off Fleury.
