here's another thread to discuss each team's injuries. for the bruins:

marty lapointe- knee injury (back late october)
andy hilbert- groin injury (day to day)

Alexei Zhamnov - pulled muscle (day to day)
Shawn Thornton - not sure (hasnt played all preseason)
Travis Moen - not sure (day to day)
Kyle Calder - unknown (high stick to face, day to day)

Sanderson has been out for two weeks so far with a shoulder injury, but could play in the final two preseason games this weekend if he's up to it. He'll be back for the first real game of the season. Other than that, nothing from the Jackets.

Rozsival and Melichar are both injured. It's unclear, at this time, how long either player will be sidelined.

Eric Fichaud -- Broken right index finger
Chad Kilger -- Facial fractures/left eye
Benoit Gratton -- Sprained left knee

Both Koivu and Kilger are eyeing a comeback for the season opener (no pun intended for Kilger) or they could be back mid. Oct.. Not to sure about Fichaud or Gratton but they’re both in the AHL anyway.

Si.com has updated injuries but they're not all on one page and everyone is listed as day-to-day.

also, in a more minor note, rob zamuner tore his hamstring, and will be out about 4-6 weeks (sounds optimistic to me)

any other injuries that may force players out of real games?

EDIT- as i type this, i just heard that keith carney is out a month with a broken foot. makes the simpson pickup even better for the ducks.

Tom Fitzgerald - Shoulder - DTD, should play this week.

Bryan McCabe - Knee - Out 3-6 weeks.

Karel Pilar - (unsigned) - Cleared to start practicing. Should be ready within the next month.

Trevor Kidd - recovering from shoulder surgery - should be good to go early in the reg. season.

I heard it was just arthroscopic surgery which means that 3-6 weeks is quite reasonable.

1. Bill Watters WORKS for Mojo, so there would be no reason for him to go on the FAN.

2. Like nucks2001 said, he's having arthroscopic knee surgery, if thats what you mean by going under the knife.

The initial prognosis was that he'd be back for the reg. season (this was a few weeks ago). Didn't happen, so they're doing this. 3-6 weeks, confirmed as of tonight before the Leafs-Wings game.

MINNESOTA:

Marian Gaborik- Shoulder injury, don't know how serious though.

Wes Walz- Shoulder surgery, is playing and looks 100% but it could end up nagging him, but he did play well. Should be 100% by the time the season rolls around.

Richard Park- Knee injury, knee to knee hit with Jackman. Out 3 weeks.

Whew...Luckily Minnesota hasn't been hit that badly with injuries yet.

Uh, McCabe had the surgery yesterday or 2 days ago {can't remember}, and went pretty well according to his agent Jeff Solomon {sp}. 4-6 weeks is the timetable for his return.

So Gabby is injured AND holding out?

He's not exactly injured, injured like he's sitting out at the moment but he keeps icing his shoulder. Might of strained it.

Salvador: Wrist Surgery, orginally expected back in November but is reported to be ahead of schedule and should be back by the end of the month.

Boguniecki: Seperated Shoulder, not known how long he will beo ut.

M. Walker: Not sure what he has injured... but he's been out for a few weeks.
