Yep. NHL Playoffs over the Olympics for me and it's not really close.
The NHL playoffs is much more intense, higher quality and incredible fan atmospheres.
The Olympics is kind of meh for me. I only focus on the big games. Today was a fun game to watch as was the women's final but overall, the NHL playoffs is much more exciting to watch IMO.

I'd be willing to bet the Eddie will be open. It'd fill up pretty quick if it is, but worth a shot! Message them on facebook or call and see! Oh man.. Trash cans at 5am.. Starting to wish I never moved back to Edmonton from Canmore. haha

An incredible game today. I called in sick, only the second time I've done that to watch a hockey game. The 2002 gold medal was the first.

Went to Hudson's downtown and had my first beer around 10 am. Went by myself and never felt alone. Great atmosphere, crowd sining O Canada in celebration at one point.

Incredible how the way this team has jelled. Every player is pulling their own, the team defence has been a joy to watch. An extra goal or two would make it easier on the nerves, but low scoring games makes for intense, memorable games.

Of course Sweden could ruin it all Sunday morning - I accept that possibility - but it seems that this team is on a mission to right now. GO Canada!

What is wrong with this picture?...

Scoring leaders:
2. Karlsson 4 G 4 A
4. Doughty 4 G 2 A
8. Weber 3 G 2 A

Best forwards:
11. Sedin (thanks to a couple of lucky assists in game 1)
14. Backes

Enjoyed it yesterday. Canada was and is the better team, but still proud of U.S valiant effort against big brother. USA team seemed to mesh well but lacked star power up front & on the backend, especially at C. USA doesn't have a Crosby, Stamkos, Tavares in its system unfortunately. After seeing the roster while I was hoping for Gold, a silver/bronze seemed more likely. Wish we were on opposite sides of bracket & had possibility of meeting tomorrow, but just the way it goes sometimes. Hoping North America comes away with two medals on the big ice, but neither one will be easy. Good luck tomorrow!

USA has nothing going against the Finns right now. Down 2-0.

Americans just don't care anymore? Or maybe the Finns are actually a good team and people shouldn't have freaked out when Canada dominated their game against them and only won 2-1?

3-0.

Patrick Kane with 2 (!) missed penalty shots, Patrick Kane with the penalty for the third goal.

Maybe he's just a player being lifted by better players like Kessel and Toews?

USA getting blown out. 5-0

Three straight PP goals. Owned by Finland. Teemu Selanne looks 5 years younger.

The Finns are a very good competitive team... Sweden and Canada just squeaked by them. They are obviously no pushover and USA likely isn't emotionally as up for this game after that heartbreaking loss to Canada.

I think the Finns are a hungrier team and want this bronze medal more than the US because for the USA their focus was gold and getting past Canada.

The yanks ran up the score against weak opponents in the round robin.

I agree with the commentators, if Rask was in net yesterday I could see us playing the Finns

I think it is the latter.

Some "experts" on this board think Canada should win every game by 5 or it's no good.

American failboat full of Kesler, Kessel and Edsel peaked too early, blew their wad going hard in meaningless games padding stats and in the medal round can't score.

This is lmfao time.

The team that "was blowing the doors off the tournament and figuring it out and the only top team that could score" went the whole medal round without being able to score.

Few things pleasure me more in sports than seeing Americans fall on their face in the Oly's.

Forsberg is bitter. Maybe wait for the game to rant and assume the worst. Forsbergs reaction isn't helping the team by assuming their getting screwed.

Or maybe he's trying to ratchet up the tensions after Canada USA had all the hype.

Shut up, Floppa.

Hasn't Canada had by far the fewest PPs in the tournament so far (while having Canadian's officiate their games)? Hmmmm... Yes, seems totally impartial to me. Idiot.
I hope we give this whiner even more to cry about tomorrow.

Good thing this guy played his career in Colorado. Don't think he was ever too popular with Canadians.

Avalanche were always an odd team. On one hand you realized Sakic was a consummate gentleman, someone to respect on and off the ice, then you had Forsberg.

It would be real hard to cheer for this guy.

He wouldn't even have a SC ring without fellow Canadians such as Sakic, Roy, Blake, Foote, C. Lemieux, etc., etc.

The NERVE of this POS. Go to hell, Floppa.

What's he doing following the winter olympics, anyway? The diving competitions are two years away in Rio.

wow Forsberg

I like the professionalism of the players though, they seem confident with the refs that are chosen
