As much as I hate to see Gardiner leave and I like Holland I would certainly be willing to give them both up for Bjugstad. Not sure Florida would be willing to trade a 6"6 center that's 21. you never know with Tallon, i think we add a pick.

lol

Sometimes I go into random threads and say something like....

"What? No way *insert bad player from team HFB hates* is going to get *insert good player from small market team* in a 1 for 1. Maybe add a 3rd."

I didn't know others did stuff like this to.

What center in the upcoming draft is 6'6 220?

What makes Gardiner a must have for the Panthers when they already have Campbell and Kulikov on the left side?

They might be interested, but definitely not at the expense of Bjugstad. They friggin love that guy.

Tallon especially loves that guy.

holy crap batman is Gardiner overrated by some. Some of the comments would make it look like he is a shoe in for the Norris or something

As long as we get a lot for him, I don't really care where he goes.

It's Eklund but I think Gardiner for Gagner would be a good deal for both clubs.

Yeah I agree. Gardiner is a decent defenseman but he doesn't really fill a need.

I don't. Not that the value is terrible, but it does nothing for Toronto.

I'm sorry but there is no way Florida trades either of their stud centers for Gardiner.

Bjugstad has already shown more at this level than Jake, and honestly, the kid is going to be incredible. There is no way Tallon gives him up.

Wow.... That's *** terrible
Hall >>> JVR
RNH >> Kadri and the gap is going to get wider RNH already has more points in his nhl career than Kadri (who is 3 years older) and is better defensively
Gardiner > Nurse but trade value is arguably close
Ekblad, Reinhardt, Bennett > Bernier

Talking about trading Gardiner on the main board is about the most fruitless and soul destroying exercise you can engage in on Hfboards.

The premise of trading Gardiner would be that he's raw, kinda soft, young and inconsistent right? Well guess what, that's the description for every single remotely appealing Oiler asset.

Why bother.

Didn't Toronto inquire about Kulikov earlier in the year?

Like score almost a point a game in a 7 game playoff against Boston or make the All-Rookie team? All those big games Bjugstad and the Panthers have played this year...

Toronto says no to that. Not an upgrade on what we have on the top 6 and certainly is not cut out for a bottom 6 role.

I would like Ott's 1 rounder from Anaheim. Keep stocking the shelves, decrease cap hit and give opportunities to guys like Percy or Granberg

Apparently.

But I wouldn't trade Gardiner for Kulikov.

Maybe if Kulikov was Finnish.

I'm sure you would. Bjugstad isn't going anywhere. Plus, we have Kulikov, another defenseman with potential and not living up to it yet. We don't need another at the price of a guy like Bjugstad. People who don't watch the Panther's shouldn't comment like they do. Maybe a Kulikov for Gardiner deal would work. Maybe a change of scenery will take them to the next level. This is am Eklund rumor. It means nothing.

And people who don't watch the Leafs shouldn't comment either, as you implied Gardiner isn't living up to the hype. He's playing over 20 minutes a night on one of the top teams in the East and hasn't gotten nearly the PP time he deserves, since I know people around here will only focus on his point totals.

I think you managed to pick ALL 4 of the untradeable pieces of the Oilers there.

Now:

Hall>JVR
RNH>Kadri
Gardiner>Nurse and
Top 3 pick > Bernier.

Future?

Hall>JVR
RNH>Kadri
Nurse>Gardiner
And who knows for pick vs Bernier

We lose, in some cases badly, in every single aspect of this trade.
Please explain why the Oilers do this? Has MacT recently been on a meth binge?
